The following essay (attached separately as a pdf document) has been submitted by a colleague of mine last year, the essay is about Management Studies I assignment. Please read it carefully and discuss it in terms of strengths and weaknesses. Start by summarising the main points/arguments that the essay is making; decide if the essay answers the essay question mentioned at the top of the page; and critically discuss the main points in light of the proper literature. Please also refer to how the essay is written in general, its structure, its presentation (i.e. grammar), referencing, and academic conventions more broadly. Finally, provide suggestions for how the essay could be improved.

Please make sure you:

refer to the peer-reviewed literature (notably journal articles)
stick to the word count (2,000) excluding the referencing
check the marking criteria
reference your essay according to the Harvard referencing style

PROMPT:

Consider the following two claims: (1) Morality is relative to the majority view of your culture; there are no objective moral truths. (2) All humans have rights that include life, liberty, and security of person, regardless of race, religion, gender, ethnicity, sexual preference, and national origin.

I. Explain why these two statements could be seen as incompatible.

II. Do you think they are compatible?

III. If so, explain how. If not, which one should be rejected, and why?

REQUIREMENTS:

I. Target length – 1500-2000 words (about 5-6 pages in normal formating).

II. Sources – at least three are required, at least one should come from outside of the provided readings on Blackboard.

III. Should be submitted as a DOCX or PDF file.  If you use Google Docs or Pages, be sure to save and export your document to one of these file formats.

IV. The final paper is due on December 9th.

ADVICE:

There is much that could be covered in your paper.  This could include cultural relativism, moral realism, the universality of rights, the relationship between human rights and morality, and cross-cultural agreement and/or disagreement about rights.  We have had several readings in this course on these topics, in addition to my lectures.

Have a clear thesis in your paper; make clear what your own position is.  Perhaps you might not settle on what that position is until you start writing at least a bit of the paper out.  But make sure you present a clear thesis at the outset in your final submitted draft.  It will be helpful to go back and review the lecture and readings about writing a philosophy paper to help you with all of this.

It should be clear to me that you:
1. Can clearly explain the issues and the terminology involved.
2. Take a clear position on the philosophical issues at hand.
3. Use, correctly cite, and understand the sources that you cite.
4. Are capable of philosophically engaging with the sources that you choose.
5. Are capable of supporting your claims with clear and thoughtful reasoning.
Though the paper is due on the 9th, you are welcome to submit it before that point!

You will only be doing number’s 5,6, & 8. The data and work to help you complete 5,6, & 8 will be taken from a previous lab (attached) so the info to complete the three questions will be in the answers to previous questions. So all of the data is already calculated and provided and it shouldn’t take too long to do. Below are the questions that need to be completed. Please let me know if you have any questions- I am very responsive.

5.) Construct a correlation matrix that shows the correlations between all pairs of quantitative data along with a scatterplot, correlation coefficient, and linear regression model for the two variables. Interpret the slope and y-intercept for the linear regression model.

6.) Construct at least one contingency table (cross tabulation) and graph to describe categorical variables. [Chapter 10]

8.) Identify an opportunity to perform ANOVA.

In this discussion, you will share your thoughts and reactions to the weeks readings by engaging in conversation around a set of prompts. You should discuss at least 2 of the prompts in a meaningful way and contribute at least 3 total posts. You may also discuss any general thoughts or questions about this weeks reading and assignments. As this discussion is intended to be a conversation, try to write posts that respond to others as well as contribute new ideas.

Some general guidelines for online discussion forum netiquette (Links to an external site.) from Peter Connor can be found here. The prompts for this week are as follows:

Other than the examples in the reading, what are some examples of a statistical study that should be retrospective rather than an experiment?
Refer to the Student Course Evaluation Surveys at LBC | Capital video you watched earlier this week (under Should You Believe a Statistical Study?). Based on the 8 guidelines in your reading (Unit 5B) and the context provided in the video, evaluate the current student course evaluation survey process at LBC | Capital. What are the problems, and what improvements would you propose?
What is the difference between a graph that is deceptive and a graph that lies? Are there any other contexts, perhaps non-mathematical, in which you would make this same distinction?
Is there any value in using graphs that are misleading, for example, those shown in Figures 5.19-5.23 in Unit 5D?
What is a real-life example of a situation in which you observe a correlation but not causality?

References. Provide at least five references Attached to this order are 2 articles that need to be used for writing this essay.

Pick three articles which have attempted to address the CJ problems you identified your Writing Assignment.  The idea is to examine what has been learned before.  What data did those studies use to address the CJ problem?  Did the authors feel that data was adequate to address the problem?  What conclusions did they make?  Did their analyses find support for their hypotheses?

Write a 3-5 page paper (in APA 7 format) summarizing at least 5 articles what you have learned in the case study.  The chart used in the youtube video makes for a great outline for you to discuss your articles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcN5s501xTk

For this assignment we are going to focus on the case study (BLOCK 5 only of the Research Methods Framework).

Project Part 5 Modules
Modify the pseudocode design that you created in ITP 100 Project Part 4 to include at least the following modules.
studentID    to Enter the Student ID
    calcBill         to Calculate the Bill
    prtBill        to Print the Bill
After the student has finished entering the course titles, the system will calculate and print the bill.
Create a hierarchy chart for the modules.  Save the hierarchy chart as ITP100Project-Part4-Hierarchy-LastName.doc
Save the pseudocode design using the filename ITP100Project-Part4-LastName.doc
Submit for a Grade:
Upload the files ITP100Project-Part4-Hierarchy-LastName.doc and ITP100Project-Part4-LastName.doc file to the ITP100_Project_Part4 file upload area.

For museums, raising and maintaining public interest their ancient art collections has always been a challenge. But now, with the COVID-19 crisis, it’s even more important, in order to counteract the decrease in public awareness due to the loss of visitors to their galleries. If you go  online and visit their website, you’ll find that Museums have reacted and are finding new and innovative ways of staying in contact with their patrons and potential future visitors.

Discuss the strategies for staying in touch / raising public interest / awareness of at least three museums anywhere in the world that have art collections from the ancient Near East to Late Antiquity, i.e. Ancient Mesopotamia /  Iran, Levant, Greco-Roman, Parthian or Sasanian eras, Early Christian / Byzantine art of the Middle East and / or Islamic art from anywhere around the Mediterranean or the Middle East.

Discuss what online programs or web sites or other resources / activities each of these museums has implemented to create or keep interest in the their ancient art collections either before or in response to the pandemic.

How you visualize that online programs / websites / resources will impact the museum’s future online presence or its in-person visitors as either relate to their ancient art collections and galleries?
