“Internal look at the Walmarts strengths and weaknesses”
This is part of a group paper. And I only need to work on Strength and Weakness part.

Remember to stay focused on omni-channel (i.e. if you choose Walmart, youre not studying Walmart in general, but specifically the way that Walmart integrates online and offline presence to facilitate or enable sales).

If you study a publicly-traded company, one of the most valuable resources you will find is your companys most recent 10k. The 10k is an annual report that the company files with the SEC and posts on its website (you can find it quickly through a Google search). Beyond that, you are encouraged to use business journal articles, popular press articles.

After all your production planning analysis, you have been asked to prepare a Quality Management Planning Strategy for management and employees.

Using course materials and other resources, develop a strategy document with the following action items:

*Identify the overall Quality Management Process (TQM, ISO 9000, Six Sigma) the company will use, and explain the rationale for such change. Be aware of industry requirements (i.e. service operations are different from manufacturing, and each process may offer specific advantages for a specific industry). Describe how you will implement the process in the company (make any necessary reasonable assumptions you need with the scenario, such as company organization or structure).

*Once you identify and explain the process, outline the specific tools and techniques the company will use for quality management. Consider the usefulness of all the charting and statistical quality metric techniques and identify which ones it should use.

*Develop a communications memorandum to the factory workers announcing these changes and explaining the value of them. Remember, quality management principles all focus on employee involvement and continuous improvement.

Pick your favorite politician or other public figure. One that you genuinely like, or would vote for, or whose concerts you go to, etc. Now, find an occasion where your favorite politician or public figure used rhetoric to the detriment of logic to make their point. This may take a little bit of research, and perhaps a bit of cognitive dissonance as well.

Then, chances are, your peers will have selected a public figure that you dislike. Find a post from your peers that features just such a public figure, and then do a little additional research and find an argument made by that public figure that uses logic over rhetoric to make a sound argument that you agree with. Again, this may take some digging.

Lastly, respond to any comments made to your original post.

Oh, and be polite, but assertive.

The planning for the community building session is almost complete. The last details are how to conduct the plenary sessions for sharing information across groups to develop key priorities and themes that will need to be addressed.

There are two sessions that need to be planned. One is to review the work done by intact work teams. In this larger session, the goal is to spot patterns and identify themes that can be used to plan actions. These patterns or themes will come from the stopcontinuestart charts developed by each functional group. In this way, not only will the changes that need to happen be identified, but aspects of effective work (those things that work well and should be continued) can also be reinforced.

The external consulting team strongly recommended a “cross-functional, by-level grouping” for the first step. Their aim is to promote understanding of priorities and show how different issues at different levels of the organization can be aligned. The internal consulting team is excited about being the primary facilitators for these sessions. Everyone recognizes that a structured approach will be critical (for timing and to control decisionmaking inputs). The approach called Nominal Group Technique (NGT) seems to be ideally suited to this task.

You want to prepare yourself for conducting the session. Use the library, Internet, or other resources to research NGT. Because each grouping will be of a differing size, you want to tailor the overall steps of NGT to the situation you will facilitate. To do this, you must create a meeting session plan (a document of 45 pages) that will answer the following questions:

What is the goal of the session?

How will the nominal group technique be used to achieve this
    goal?

How will the members of the team work together (guidelines for
    effective participation)?

What specific steps and tasks will be involved in achieving the
    goal?

How much time will be allocated to each step or task? What
voting mechanism is most appropriate for the size of the group
and the specific stage of the process?

What will the outcome look like? What will the group present to
    the other levels?

Download a sample format. Your assignment is to complete the missing sections (in red) and develop any additional participant materials or instructions to assist the group in completing the task.

Your employer has been going through many challenges in the past 18 months due to the recent financial crises. There have been major challenges throughout the company, including high turnover, software applications being used are outdated, stress is increasing for those employees who have stayed, and morale is at the lowest point ever for the company. The remaining executives are planning to do a reorganization of the jobs and responsibilities throughout the company. However, each time the executives want to implement a change, another batch of employees resigns. You have been asked by your supervisor to prepare an analysis of what the executive leaders must do.

Present your findings as a 45-page report in a Word document formatted in APA style. At a minimum, your paper must include the following:

Apply the best organizational development process skills the
      executives should use.

Apply the change strategies within the short term and long term.

Evaluate and present the impacts of the resources.
