Writing Assignment #1
When, for the sake of creating a sound public health policy intended to keep a population of individuals healthy, does it make sense to regulate our individual freedoms and when does it not? Take, as one example, vaccination policy, which, to be effective, depends not just on one or two individuals making decisions on behalf of themselves and their children, but other strangers making their own decisions as well. As another example consider our current pandemic. Have we suffered in America because we are a nation of individual choosers and pursuers, focused on individual liberties, as opposed to seeing ourselves as a population, one people all in this together? If so, how so? In your answer, address at least FIVE of the eight articles listed on this syllabus for Reading 5, 8 and 9AND make reference to Debora MacKenzies book, Covid 19: The Pandemic that Never Should Have Happened and How to Stop the Next One.

Create an essay on soft skills in healthcare

List and identify a minimum of 8 soft skills that are important to have in a healthcare position.
Describe the importance of each soft skill and provide an example of how it may be used in a healthcare setting.

Conflict in the workplace might be inevitable, as employees have different personalities, goals, and opinions. Learning how to handle conflicts efficiently is the key to preventing it from hindering employees’ professional growth. This week, you will identify and apply an appropriate conflict resolution model to solve a real-life workplace conflict scenario.

Imagine that you were newly hired at a healthcare facility as an administrator. In your first few days at work, you came to learn that there was a major conflict occurring between employees and they had formed two opposing groups. Each side did not get along with the other and they had banded together in an us vs. them mentality. Furthermore, the employees involved were resistant to solving any issues and the supervisor, along with other management staff, was aware of the problem but chose not to intervene. In your first week at work, you realize that the organization has no conflict resolution policy. After bringing it to your supervisor’s notice he makes it your first assignment.

I need to write an introduction for my formal lab report on the growth and enumeration of bacteria. It must explain a good understanding of the overall goal of the lab, an explanation of the objectives achieved throughout the experiment, and background information on the different methods used. I have attached all the information that was involved in this experiment. Must include at least 3 references.

I have already completed every other part of the essay, I just need someone to help with the Introduction as I want it to be informative and thorough.

For this week’s discussion I would like you to choose two of the following prompts to respond of the four below and respond to at least one classmate:

1. Describe an indication for oral or topical anti-fungals and which product you would chose? What teaching would need to go along with that?
2. The overuse of antibiotics has lead to resistant bacteria and has narrowed our options for certain infections. Find an article that describes this problem in the literature and summarize for the class.
3. We are approaching cold and flu season. Many people will be coming in with cold symptoms wanting to be treated. Describe what advice and treatment you would offer depending on different exam findings and patient history. How will you handle requests for antibiotics for viral illness? What will you say?
4. Explain your personal philosophy regarding children’s immunizations. How would you counsel parents who do not want to vaccinate their children.
