Please Read the Attached Reading (Aristotle, Nicomachean Ethics, Books 6-10 then do the following:

QUESTIONS, REFLECTIONS, & COMMENTS (QRCS)
Please make a post offering at least two thoughtful and
substantive questions, reflections, or comments (QRCs) inspired by your engagement with the material below.

— At least one of the QRCs must explicitly identify a passage( quote a passage and then respond to it)  from the reading attached that you found intriguing, confusing, enlightening, etc. to lift up for consideration. You should quote the passage in full in your post along with a clear citation so others can easily find it in the text, and briefly explain your reasons for highlighting this passage this can come in the form of substantive questions about, interpretations of, or challenges to the ideas expressed in the passage.

For the second QRC, you may choose to lift up another passage, but you are not
required to do so. Instead you may choose to offer a more general question about the
ideas under consideration, a reaction to the podcast lecture, an argument you are trying
to work out, or a connection you have made, or events in the world. In other words, each paper should have two clearly distinct QRCs, at least one of which lifts up a passage from the text.

Also, I attached(The screenshot below) an example of what the post you are gonna make should look like.

What did you learn this week about how the Constitution is designed?  What are the key components of the Constitution, and how does it frustrate change? How does federalism in the United States work?  In what ways does the The Storm reflect the costs and benefits of federalism?  Again, be specific in your use of examples.

Focused Current Event Article Discussion 2: American Citizenship Test and Reflection

Instructions: This is a 2 part focused writing assignment. I will provide the context, necessary information, background, as well as links and resources, needed to comply with the minimum requirements necessary to participate and complete this assignment. If you are aiming for an A or B on this assignment, I do expect that you will include additional resources and research links. These do not have to be a laundry list.  More is not better. Direct and to the point is key.  I expect additional resources be properly cited, at the end of your part 1 critical analyses.

Part 1: Choose a Prompt and Post Reply

Minimum length of analysis is 1 page double spaced, or half page single spaced. Type it first in a word document for reference. Then, copy and paste. Formatting standards: 12 point font, times new roman, double spaced ( if 1 full page in word) otherwise single spaced (equivalent to half page in word). Must include properly formatted citations for any and all resources, links and information publications, used in your research, as well as incorporated as supporting evidence, for your critique and analysis.

I expect you to incorporate information, offering supporting evidence specifically from at least one or more of independently researched resources and links, to be discussed, mentioned and cited within either your part 1 or part 2 post, if not both.  You can just note the source when citing parenthetically, within your analyses, as long as you provide a full title, and link to the information source, listed at the end of your reply. This is what will earn you a A or B grade.

Part 2:  Critique and Rebuttal

You will not be able to review posts submitted by your peers, until you yourself have submitted your critical analysis, for Part 1.

Review your classmates posts. Select one to offer a rebuttal or critique.

    In your own words, describe what it means to be American.
    In your own words, define the demographic eligibility of an American citizen..be as detailed as possible.
    Based on you responses to 1 & 2 would you qualify to be an American citizen?
    Discuss your experience taking the citizenship test, by apply examples of the questions you answered and your final blind score to provide a critical analysis of what you learned about your own perception and expectation versus that of the governments when determining American citizenship

Requirements:

Sources

o You must use the textbook.

o You must also use at least two other academic, governmental, and/or media sources.

Academic journals, major national or international newspapers, major online news organizations, databases, etc.

o You may not use Wikipedia or other websites of unknown or inexpert origin. If you are not sure of the quality or reliability of a source, either ask Professor Gabler to evaluate it or do not use it.

Formatting

o This essay should be approximately 3-5 pages, typed, double-spaced, in a standard 12 point font.

o Cite your sources according to the style you know best (MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.)

You must directly cite sources in text as appropriate as well as in a works cited/bibliography.
