To prepare for this assignment, read the following scenario: Imagine you are given the opportunity to set up your dream classroom learning environment. What would it look like? Create a plan for what your ideal early childhood classroom would look like, keeping in mind each of the different learning domains.

Identify an evidence-based strategy (by name; you will find this in the title of the article I uploaded) from a peer reviewed article (put in APA format), the strategys specific purpose and/or intended outcomes, and provide a rationale for why the strategy is appropriate for a targeted student(s) who will benefit from use of this strategy; you will need to get instructor approval for use

2. Article Summary Table

3. Develop a brief assessment of student(s) targeted skill, which should align with the selected strategy

4. Develop any materials for strategy implementation

5. List the specific, detailed steps of the strategy (out of class assignment) in a numbered sequence that acts as a task scaffold for someone who wishes to be guided, step-by-step, through using the strategy. (You will complete micro-teaching of the strategy to classmates (in class assignment)

I am working on a larger paper where I will analyze the implementation of an educational innovation through the Bolman and Deal’s “Four Frame Model”. What I am seeking help with is one particular aspect of this assignment, the literary review.

The literary review should include a section on innovation in schools, the four frames model, and building capacity in order for innovation to take hold in schools through the use of professional learning communities.

The paper should be organized as such:

Literary review on innovation in schools (300 words)
Literary review on “the four frames model” by Bolman and Deal (1000 words)
Literary review on “building capacity” for innovation through “professional learning communities” (500-700 words)

This literary review should be a critical analysis of the literature:
That is, draw attention to strengths and weaknesses in arguments, scope or methodologies.
Use counterarguments in the literature
Define the key concepts/theoretical components
Many sources should be used (I used 15-20 in a previous review)

Some useful resources on the last literary review section are:
Building the Capacity for School Improvement by Alma Harris (on SAGE)
Professional learning communities and system improvement by Alma Harris (on SAGE)
The Sustainability of Innovative Schools as Learning Organizations and Professional Learning Communities During Standardized Reform (also oon SAGE)

You will conduct a peer review of another students paper for this application assignment. The idea
behind this assignment is to help you to improve your critical reading and proof reading skills, develop a
skill set of giving feedback to others in a professional manner and improve the final products (proposals)
submitted in this class. Your grade will be based upon:
Your attention to detail (enough comments and finding all mistakes and/or errors)
Your comments (accuracy and professionalism)
The accuracy of your feedback (not identifying something as an error if it isnt).
You will submit a draft of your research proposal by 6 pm, on Thursday of the week indicated in the
syllabus (same day as application 2 is due) the draft will be attached as a thread in the discussion
board titled Application 3. The professor will then assign a name to you of another student, for the
purpose of you conducting a peer review of their paper. You will read the paper of the student assigned
to you and conduct a thorough peer review of their paper using the rubric designed for this assignment.
You will then reply to that students paper with comments and attach the rubric. Your peer review must
be submitted by Thursday at 6 p.m. of the week listed in the syllabus for application 3. Please be sure to
download and use the peer review rubric for your comments and suggestions. Only complete and
detailed reviews will receive full credit for this assignment.
For this and all discussion board assignments your grade will be based upon the following:
Following directions (include all required information)
Professionalism (quality of writing including lack of error and use of APA)
Level of detail (included enough information as well as relevant required readings)

Type a one page essay on gender, material from Chapter 3 in Allen’s book, Difference Matters, the video from last week and the powerpoint on gender. The goal with this is to increase awareness and sensitivity of gender matters. For example, 5 years ago when I worked in Salem, Oregon my duties sometimes took me to a specialty automotive shop. Prominently displayed on the wall were images and calendars of scantily clad women. Another instance was when my sister and her husband were having a house built in Colorado (where we lived at the time) and the contractor would not speak to or address concerns from my sister. Since her husband was busy, I usually had to intervene and resolve the issues on their behalf. Many of you are aware of pay issues and promotion issues because of gender. Recent divisive issues in our society revolve around the acceptance or role of LBGQT persons in schools, churches, boy scouts, etc.

As you write, focus on observations that you have and also questions 7 and 8 from page 63. I have 6 sisters and 2 brothers, they do act differently. How can we tie that into these questions?

Adulthood AssignmentThe purpose of this assignment is to describe the physical, cognitive, and/or socioemotional changes that occur in adulthood and to analyze the effects of biological, psychosocial, and cultural factors that influence decisions in adulthood.

You have been tasked with writing an article on adult development for an educational newsletter. You are to address a common theme in adult development representing role transitions in early or middle adulthood.

The themes are:
a.    Career: going to college early or later in adulthood, or not at all
b.    Relationships: singlehood vs. cohabitation vs. marriage
c.    Family: having children early, later, or not at all
d.    Family: Caring for aging parent vs. other alternatives

Choose one theme. Write an article creating an argument for a life decision within that theme in early or middle adulthood.

Your article should include the following elements:
1.    Application of the physical, cognitive, and socioemotional changes typical to adulthood that contribute to the decision you represented (10 pts)
2.    Discussion of a theory of adult development that helps support the decision represented (5 pts)
3.    A specific example that represents the situation (for example, Joe wants to explore the world before he goes to college) (5 pts)
4.    Citation of two peer-reviewed or reliable outside sources to support your information. (5 pts)

Your article should be no more than 2 pages, double-spaced, and should include a title.
