You are asked to write an essay analysing and evaluating a mentoring or coaching challenge. This may be: i) a real example that you have faced as a mentor/coach or as a mentee/coachee in an organisational setting; ii) a hypothetical example (e.g. from your role play exercise); or iii) a mentoring or coaching case study sourced from a suitable academic or practitioner publication (which you must reference). You will need to provide a description of the development challenge encountered and the nature of the mentor/coach and mentee/coachee roles. Based on the theoretical and practical knowledge you have gained about mentoring and coaching, then reflect critically on the how mentoring or coaching was applied in the described development scenario, including an evaluation of the effectiveness and appropriateness of the process. Finally, you should include an assessment of your own future development needs as a management graduate and the extent to which these might be effectively met through mentoring and/or coaching.

It should be done by keeping in mind a team of three is doing it together. Each team member will first choose one SKILL – either problem solving,
communication, teamwork. Then they will select one of the
corresponding KSC’s(Refer task description)
The KSC each person have chosen corresponds to the skill chosen by the person. Each person has to choose a different skill(problem-solving,
communication, teamwork. )
When addressing the KSC using the STAR ( Situation, Task, Action, Result)  technique, you might draw on other skills to help
demonstrate your capabilities, but the primary focus should be on one’s skill.

There should be 2 drafts for each team member (total 3 first drafts and 3 final drafts). In first draft, one should demonstrate their skill by addressing the KSC using the star technique.

The first draft of each person should be discussed among the team and based on the peer review feedback (one placed in the Appendix) the final draft should be made. The suggestions from the team members should be included in the final draft. In the peer review feedback (in the appendix) in a team of three, you will need to write 2 pieces of feedback of about approx 100 words each.

This is the first part of the assignment, each draft of each person should be of 500 words ( total drafts 6- total words 3000).

In the second part of the assignment, an individual reflection of 500 words each talking about the significant contributions of each person, what one has learned. It should be written in each team member’s perspective. The reflection should be developed using the formula DIEP ( Describe, Interpret, Evaluate, and Plan) There should be 3 reflections talking about each skill and learning.

This is important. You need have your own thought in your writing!!!

Length: 500 words (excluding references, 10% more or less is allowed)
Note. On all written assessments, a 10% margin from the maximum word limit is allowed. However, a deduction of 1% will be made from the final mark for each 1% beyond the 10 % margin. Short story of 500 (+-100) words.
This should be fiction and have characters.
It should be set 10 -30 years in the future.
The story should explore the impact of technology on
the characters lives, and the technology needs to seem
feasible to achieve.
Include some references (Harvard referencing) to the technologies that you
have found.
Look at two or three research based advances in
technology that have not yet become marketable.
Consider how these might overlap in some way to
create new possibilities.
Add the strange and often non-logical impact of human
nature.
Develop your characters enough to make the story
readable.
