Assessment Criteria:
1. Understanding, analysis and articulation of the project components.
2. Research and investigative effort.
3. Identification, coverage and use of relevant resources.
4. Presentation of findings including citations and reference list.
5. Participation in related tutorial activities.

Task:
You will critically evaluate the Cities and Memory website (https://citiesandmemory.com/sounds/) from a digital continuity perspective and write a report providing advice on how the digital repository platform could be improved so that the Cities and Memory project recordings are available (accessible and usable) in future years and do not violate privacy norms.

Your report will:

1.Use the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) Reference Model as the basis for your analysis of the stakeholder needs and functional requirements for the digital repository; then make recommendations on how to better address the long-term preservation of the archival materials to meet all the stakeholders needs.
2.Make recommendations on metadata elements to be included based on the Generic Metadata Model in the ISO 23081.2 Standard.
3.Make recommendations on how to address the privacy concerns of the users and subjects of the recordings.

Your discussion should refer to 2-3 examples of sound recordings uploaded on the platform to illustrate potential problems and your recommendations for improvement.

Note that you do not need to get in contact with the site administrators in order to complete this assignment. The information available on the website is sufficient.
