Look over the type of data collected on both sites. Focusing on the CDC Wonder websiteThere
are 3 tabs in the center page Wonder Systems, Topics and A-Z Index. What are 3 types
of Databases kept? On the far left side, there are several links :What is Wonder?, FAQ%u0432%u0402%u2122s, Data
Collections. Review the information contained within and answer the following questions.
- What does the acronym WONDER stand for?
- What are the stated purposes of the WONDER database?
- Why do data sets collected by the CDC sometimes change?
Click on the Data Collections link-
- What one data set did you expect to see in a public health data set?
- What one data set surprised you? Why?
Click on the link for Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting.
- What kinds of data can be obtained from this database? List 5.
Now lets create a graph. Click on the link for Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting. You will see 5
tabs across the top of the page- Request form, Results, Map, Chart, and About. We will start on
the Request Form.

map. Select the same daya as above and click on refresh map.
