LAbor Relations: Refusal To Work Overtime

The labor agreement stipulates that " changes in the work schedule" must be mutually agreeable who has refused to work 6 hours of overtime as he was requested to do by his supervisor, is given 1-day suspension foe his action.  The union supports Gryzmisk all the way to arbitration on the grounds that the relevant overtime constituted a " changes in the work schedule" that it had not approved.  The management argues before the arbitrator that the 6 hours in no way could be considered a change that needed union acceptable since it was for a "limited and specified" duration.

 

As the Arbitrator in this case, What would you have decided?

Devise a promotional strategy that will help EDUS expand the student body and also inform potential students of increased capability of the institution resulting from this acquisition.

Economic, Cultural, and Political-Legal Environment: Investigate the economic, cultural, and political-legal environment that might affect promotional messages and media relevant to this acquisition.

The training is mandatory for the capability to rationalize, visualize and describe the variety of fluid composition across the field willingness to advance the understanding of reservoir compartmentalization. Hence, training for analyzing data from biomarkers and oil fingerprinting is needed to provide an additional positive outlook of reservoir connectivity.

8. Explain the science impact of your planned work.
o Example: The outcomes of this research will assist in determining and understating the cause of variation of oil quality within the reservoir. The investigation work demonstrated that organic geochemistry will be a beneficial and valuable in detecting reservoir compartmentalization in the Jawdah field. It is expected to be an efficient method in enhancing oilfield production and to be used as an analogue for predicting reservoir compartmentalization in a single field.

Online class size

Operational Risk Management System in an Enterprise Risk Framework

Assume that you are the Operational Risk Manager of a large financial institution where you report to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO). The CRO is responsible to manage the enterprise risk at the corporate level that includes all significant risks of the firm including but not limited to financial (i.e., market, credit, interest rate); strategic; operational and reputational risks. In the past, the firm measured operational risk using Value at Risk (VaR) technique that is frequently used to quantify market and credit risk. However, the CRO is not comfortable with the use of VaR in quantifying operational risk of the firm. 
She argues that operational risk is fundamentally different from financial risk and that managerial judgments in business decision making relevant to operational risk cannot be replaced by quantitative risk models. In her understanding a significant part of operational risk management involves the management of people, process and system, where individual biases and associated subjectivity play dominant role. She comments that “the current industry practice of managing operational risk takes the objective view of a subjective problem”. With this understanding she is determined to change the culture of the organisation in conceptualising and managing operational risk associated with the business.
