Final Presentation for Company B

At the end of the course, you will prepare a presentation as if it was meant for your Board of Directors or Shareholders.
Your presentation should include the following topics and slides:
• A brief review of the financial and strategic performance of your company during the time you and have run the company.
This review should consist of charts showing the following:
o Trends in the company’s annual total revenues
o Trends in the company’s annual earnings per share (EPS)
o Trends in the company’s annual return on equity investment (ROE)
o Trends in the company’s annual credit rating
o Trends in the company’s year-end stock price
o Trends in the company’s annual image rating
o Trends in global unit sales (both branded and private-label footwear)
o Trends in the company’s global market share
There is a Performance Summary containing bar graphs showing your company’s performance on each of the above eight performance indicators. To create charts showing your company’s trends for these eight measures, simply double-click on the bar graphs to save the graph as an image locally.
Other slides required in the presentation include:
• A slide describing your strategic vision for the company.
• A slide that shows what performance targets for EPS, ROE, credit rating, and image rating you would set for each of the next two years (assuming the simulation were to continue). You may also want to include global market share and/or stock price targets as well.
• A slide that sets forth your company’s competitive strategy in branded footwear in some detail and how that strategy has evolved over the years you have managed the company. You may need to have more than one slide here if your company’s strategy in branded footwear varies markedly from geographic region to geographic region or if your strategy for branded sales to retailers differs in important ways from your strategy for Internet sales.
• A slide that sets forth your company’s competitive strategy in private-label in some detail and how that strategy has evolved over the years. More than one slide may be needed if your company’s strategy in private-label footwear varies markedly from one geographic region to another.
• A slide showing your company’s production strategy and work force compensation strategy
• A slide describing your company’s finance strategy (as concerns dividends, use of debt versus equity, stock issues/repurchases, actions to achieve/maintain a strong credit rating, etc.) You should clearly describe your company’s dividend policy during the period you have managed the company. Here, you should also set forth what sort of dividend increases, if any, you would likely consider paying out in the next two upcoming years (given the EPS targets you have established).
• A slide showing (1) those companies you consider to be your strongest/closest competitors in branded footwear as of the last year or two of the simulation and (2) those companies that are your strongest/closest competitors in the private-label segment of the marketplace.
• One or more slides detailing the actions you would take to out-compete these close rivals in the next two years (assuming the simulation continues for several more years). Since the actions may differ as between branded and private-label footwear, you may well need 2 slides here.
• A set of slides detailing the “lessons learned” about crafting a winning strategy and about what the managers of a company should or should not do for a company to be financially and competitively successful in a head-to-head battle against shrewdly-managed rival companies.

Advanced Phishing Scams for Intelligence Purposes

The goal of this assignment is to present a clear research proposal. Research proposal should be
between 5-6 pages in length, not including preliminary source list and references.

Please see http://libguides.usc.edu/writingguide/researchproposal
which gives an excellent explanation of the purpose for research proposals and tips for organization.

GLOBAL CYBERSECURITY ENVIRONMENT REPORT

Global Cybersecurity Environment Report
Throughout this project, you have researched and considered global cybersecurity issues, technologies, and related policies. You have evaluated various countries and international organizations. It is now time to compose your consultant's report to GlobalOutreach documenting your findings. Refer to the instruction for the Global Cybersecurity Environment Report for additional guidelines.

Before you submit your assignment, review the competencies below, which your instructor will use to evaluate your work. A good practice would be to use each competency as a self-check to confirm you have incorporated all of them in your work.
2.1: Identify and clearly explain the issue, question, or problem
under critical consideration.
7.2: Evaluate international cybersecurity policy.
8.2: Evaluate specific cybersecurity threats and the combination
of technologies and policies that can counter them.
Guideline for this project is also attached.

Climate Change and its effects on National Security

So far in this semester you have developed a research question and written a literature review. This literature review summarizes what is already known (from prior research) about your research topic or question. The objective of this part of our semester long Researcher’s Notebook project is to outline and write a proposed research plan that, if implemented, would produce the data or information necessary to actually answer your research question. You will not actually implement this research plan. There is not enough time in a single semester to actually go out and collect data. The following steps will help you with this assignment.
Revisit your research question.
Now that you know more about your topic than you did a few months ago, you are in a better position to ask a more detailed or intelligent research question. At the very least you have a better understanding of the critical issues and key concepts associated with your research topic. Perhaps you know more about this topic than anybody you know.

Collecting Quantitative Data

To prepare:
Review this week’s media presentation and consider Dr. Pothoff’s comments on sampling.
Recall the research problem, question, and hypothesis you developed in Week 2’s Discussion. With this in mind, ask yourself: What population is most relevant, and accessible, for exploring my research problem?
Consider how you could reach this target population to gather data. What are some challenges you might encounter?
Determine a data collection approach for your target population. Develop an informed rationale for selecting that approach.
By Day 3
Post a cohesive response that addresses the following questions:
What are the researchable populations in your area of practice? Which would be most appropriate for use in your research study?
What are the challenges of obtaining a sample from this population? How could you address those challenges?
What approach would you use to collect data from the sample? Provide a rationale for the approach you choose based on this week’s Learning Resources.

Discussion 1: Blood Clots

A 44-year-old African American male had a partial colectomy to have a cancerous tumor removed. The patient did really well after surgery and was discharged from post-op recovery to the surgical unit at a medical center. Approximately one hour after surgery, the patient complained of gas pains and shortness of breath. The patient continued to complain of gas pains after administration of morphine sulfate. Providers failed to diagnose a pulmonary embolism that resulted in the loss of the patient’s life.

Brain Architecture Changes of Bilinguals

— Critiques of the article must include the following:
* Identify and articulate the key issue(s) in the article.
* Identify information/evidence in the article that supports its point of view and/or conclusions.
* Analyze both the student’s and the author’s assumptions regarding the article’s point of view and/or conclusions: I do not know the author's assumptions but my assumption and what I would like the author to take into consideration is how successful bilingual individuals are in applying acquired knowledge and executing tasks successfully while at the same time have difficulty structuring the same acquired knowledge and information into spontaneous impromptu speech. What causes this phenomenon?
* Identify background information relevant to the article’s point of view and conclusions.
* Explore and evaluate the issue(s) relevance to real world problems and solutions providing simple day-to-day examples.
* Clarify the student’s own position, perspective and/or hypothesis: Does bilingualism cause changes in the production of speech or is the phenomenon a behavior since it is easier to just execute rather than re-encode the acquired knowledge into verbal expressions of different languages for impromptu speech in a different language.
* Explain the conclusions, implications and/or consequences of the article.

Types of Anemia

Discussion 2: Types of Anemia

In clinical settings, patients often present with many different types of anemia. Each type of anemia has its own causes and implications. For this reason, you must be able to differentiate between types of anemia as well as identify factors that put patients at greater risk of experiencing related complications. As you prepare for this Discussion, consider the following patient case studies:

Case Study 1

An 82-year-old female presents to the office complaining of fatigue, dizziness, weakness, and increasing dyspnea on exertion. She has a past medical history of atrial fibrillation, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. Medications include warfarin 2 milligrams po daily, lisinopril 10 milligrams po daily, and simvastatin 10 milligrams po daily. There are no known drug allergies. The physical exam reveals a 5’2” older female. Her weight is 128 pounds, blood pressure is 144/80, heart rate is 98, temperature is 98 degrees Fahrenheit, and O2 saturation is 98%. Further examination reveals the following:

Eyes: + pallor conjunctiva

Cardiac: irregular rhythm. No S3 S4 or M. NO JVD

Lungs: CTA w/o rales, wheezes, or rhonchi

Abdomen: soft, BS +, + epigastric tenderness. No organomegaly, rebound, or guarding

Rectal: no stool in rectal vault

Emerging Technologies: The Future of Flying Taxis

Investigate the usage of flying taxis and their future. Discuss the legislation and maintenance regulations required for their operation.
Also to include their future and effects on environment, safety measures such as collision avoidance technology, maintenance practices and legislation. Technical aspects will include their design, operation and how they are controlled. (Detailed guidelines are provided in attached files, along with a presentation for some ideas to follow)

Case Study

Academy Health recently published a document that includes four interesting case studies that look at paying for population health. All four cases are included in one document, each about 5 pages long. You should skim the document and select one of the four that is of most interest to you and do the case study analysis on this article.
