You are to select one business that does not already have a website and develop an Internet strategy for it. Most large corporations already have websites so you may have to think of something on a smaller scale, for example a local bike store by your house. Sole proprietorship businesses that provide services like car repair, house cleaning, tax preparation, and use the Internet and similar services are also good options. You will also consider and describe how the business you select can use social media to achieve its objectives. Use the Internet and the library to research and analyze markets and competitors.
After selecting a business, you will need to answer the following questions:
  1. What Internet business model would be appropriate for the company to follow in creating a Web site and why?
  2. In what ways can the business benefit from a Web site? What functions should it perform for the company (i.e., marketing, sales, customer support, internal communications, etc.)?
  3. In what other ways might the company use the Internet for its own benefit?
  4. Prepare functional specifications for the company’s use of the Web and the Internet. Include links to and from other sites in your design.
  5. Prepare a list of technological specifications for implementation (i.e., what hardware and software are necessary to support your design)?

Please submit your assignment.

  • Discuss how the business can leverage social media to enhance its business success.

RUBRIC
A – The “A” writing assignment contains the following qualities of good writing.
1. Careful construction and organization of sentences and paragraphs.
2. Careful choice of effective words and phrases.
3. Concentration on a main purpose.
4. Adequate development of that main purpose through the use of specific details and
Rhetorical devices.
5. Careful proofreading reflected in correct grammar and spelling.
6. A style, tone and approach clearly and successfully directed toward a specific
Audience.
7. Originality of thought and style.
8. Correct usage of the form, structure and language of that particular type of business
communication.
B: The “B” writing assignment contains the same elements of an “A” assignment. It’s
ideas are clear because it contains positive qualities of good writing. It is comparatively
free of errors in the use of English. Although indicating competence, the “B” assignment
lacks the originality of thoughts and style that characterizes the “A” paper.
C: The “C” writing assignment has a reasonably clear central purpose which receives
fairly adequate development. It is satisfactorily organized and avoids serious errors in the use of English. It may, in fact, have few correction marks on it, but it lacks the thought and expression which would entitle it to an above-average rating. It may be lacking in any number of the above qualities of an A paper.
D: A “D” grade indicates below-average achievement in expressing ideas correctly and effectively. It usually contains some serious errors in the use of English and does not
Present a central idea with sufficient clarity and completeness.
F: A grade of “F” usually indicates failure to state and develop a main idea. It also indicates failure in structuring the assignment and failure to avoid serious errors in grammar, spelling, sentence structure and diction. Note, if a paper does not conform to the assignment, though it might otherwise deserve an “A” or other grade, it will receive an “F.”

Details:
Conduct a literature search to locate research articles focused on a practice problem of interest.
Identify (3) research articles on the practice problem you have chosen. Create a reference list in which the three articles are listed. Beneath each reference include the article’s abstract. The completed assignment should have a title page and a reference list with abstracts.
Suggestions for locating qualitative and quantitative research articles from credible sources:
1. Use a library database such as CINAHL Plus with full text for your search.
2. Using the advanced search page check the box beside "Research Article" in the "Limit your results" section.
3. When setting up the search you can type your topic in the top box, then add quantitative or qualitative as a search term in one of the lower boxes. Research articles often are described as qualitative or quantitative.
To narrow/broaden your search, remove the words qualitative and quantitative and include words that narrow or broaden your main topic. For example: Diabetes and pediatric and dialysis. To determine what research design was used, review the abstract and the methods section of the article. The author will provide a description of data collection using qualitative or quantitative methods.
This assignment uses a grading rubric. Instructors will be using the rubric to grade the assignment; therefore, students should review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the assignment criteria and expectations for successful completion of the assignment.
