Final Paper
For your final assignment you will write a paper that mirrors the capstone project that you will be writing at the end the program. In this assignment, you will select a public or non-profit organization – not a for profit company – and, after ideally speaking with a representative, identify a challenge that they are facing as it relates to human resources management. They may be challenged with a retiring workforce, need to develop strategic avenues for recruiting, have difficulty retaining employees, or need to diversity their workforce. Whatever the challenge is, this will be the focus of your final paper. You are tasked with making clear connections between the theories and readings that relate to the challenge that your organization is facing. Your paper should include an introduction, discussion of the course material (and subsequent literature) that relates to your topic, the stakeholders who have been impacted (internal and external) by the problem, and suggestions on how to address this challenge i.e. solve the problem. To ensure that you submit the best paper possible (and don’t wait until Week 7 to begin), you will submit various components of the paper throughout the round. The breakdown of components are as follows:

Outline – you will create a detailed outline for your final paper. Each section in your outline should have titles i.e. what the sections of your paper will be titled and provide detailed information about what will be included within each section. Therefore, you should have several “levels” built into your outline. Your section titles should be the first level, each secondary level will reflect main arguments/points being made; subsequent levels will be very specific information that support your main arguments/points. Professor comments
Sounds promising – retention is always a problem if pay and morale are low along with poor working conditions. Is it the Trevor project is unaware of the linkages? Is it that they are unwilling or unable to do something about it or is turnover something they have accepted? Later on in the problem statement you bring up workplace morale efforts (entertainment) – will this be effective to stem turnover or merely delay the inevitable? Also curious (no pun intended) about the potential LGBT angle – does this help or hurt retention efforts? You might think the former but not sure…

(CONT’D)
The project would be review of literature based on at least 6 recent articles (TOTAL 10 articles) selected from peer reviewed journals.
The project should consist of the following sections and will be evaluated as follows:
Sections 1:
Annotated bibliography: summarize each articles by providing the following: Identify exposure, main outcome, target population, study population, measurement, and potential sources of bias (approximately 250 words per article)
Sections 2:
a- Abstract
b- Introduction and background:
i. Explain how you decided on this topic and how you found your articles
ii. explain the “big picture” and provide necessary background information
c- Literature review:
i. highlight important findings from recent studies and how those affect our
current understanding of the topic
ii. highlight and address any controversies in the field
iii. Use of figures/tables is a good idea to summarize findings of other studies and/or to show your own synthesis of the articles.
d- Conclusion and future direction
i. Summarize the main findings and their significance
ii. Discuss unanswered questions in the area

e- Literature cited: Use MLA or APA citation format.

Hi, I am interested in your services.

I am looking for an academic writer to support me in finishing my Master’s thesis in the field of Product Management in Software Development. Tasks involve writing parts of the literature review and methodology chapters. Estimated effort: 20 pages (~ 350 words) overall. Thesis is about 50% done at this time.

Writers with experience in IT and management as well as in qualitative research and analysis preferred. Experience in postgraduate writing and APA reference style is a must.

However, before committing to such a large project, I’d like to get an understanding of your writing skills and style. Would you please write me one page of literature review as a test? Of course, I will pay for the one page, if you’d like to send me an offer beforehand.

If you agree, please write a page of literature review about this topic: “Data driven decision making” (in a software development context)
Please include APA style references.

To give you some context for the literature review, the introduction to my thesis is attached.

If I am happy with your review, I’d like to work with you for more pages.

Best regards!

– Attached is the rubric for the below scenario, please review rubric when done to make sure you covered every aspect

– Attached is FXT_Task_3_After_Action_Report_Survey_Template that should be used for this assignment

– All other attachments are referenced in the Scenario

Below is the scenario and task for this assignment.

Scenario:

Disaster planning can help eliminate and reduce the potential for economic damage, loss of life, and destruction of property during a disaster. This task will focus on the recovery phase of the disaster recovery cycle.

Imagine you have been hired as a disaster recovery trainer. Your job is to respond to a scenario that requires individuals being trained to evaluate a simulated disaster response. The simulated organization and disaster are outlined in the attached “LPHG Disaster Recovery Scenario.” The organization’s plan’s, policies and impact analysis are attached as well (“LPHG Backup and Recovery Policy,” “LPHG Business Impact Analysis,” “LPHG Disaster Preparedness Plan”)

Task:

A. Using the attached “After Action Report Survey Template,” create an after action report (AAR) by doing the following:
1. Discuss the plans, procedures, or other documents that were in place before the disaster in the General Information section of the template.
2. Summarize what occurred during the response in the scenario in the General Information section of the template.
3. Identify three strengths.
4. Analyze the strengths of the disaster response in the scenario by doing the following:
a. Discuss the contributing factors of each of the three strengths.
i. Discuss how the organization’s plans, policies, and impact analysis contributed to each strength.
b. Discuss positive consequences of each of the three strengths.
c. Recommend ways to improve on each of the three strengths.
5. Identify three areas of improvement.
6. Analyze the areas for improvement of the disaster response in the scenario by doing the following:
a. Discuss the contributing factors of each of the three areas for improvement.
i. Discuss how the organization’s plans, policies, and documents contributed to each of the three areas for improvement.
b. Discuss consequences of each of the three areas for improvement.
c. Recommend changes to the response plan (e.g., plans, procedures, equipment, training, mutual aid support, management, and leadership support) that could resolve the causes of each of the three areas for improvement.

B. When you use sources, include all in-text citations and references in APA format.

THE ESSAY TOPIC IS: Are democracy and the ‘free market’ allies or rivals? How does Phillips define ‘political economy’ and how can it help us understand our ‘everyday life’? How does he integrate an analysis of ‘power’ into an economic analysis of the role of markets? What neoliberal arguments are made to justify privatization, de-regulation and trade liberalization? How does Phillips’ critique of the market system represent a response to these?

THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE: DO NOT simply answer the questions in the order that
they appear in the topic. The order of presentation is something you need to think deeply about: you need to think about what it is that you want to say and the order that it would be best to say it in to show how well you understand the concepts, issues and arguments under consideration. Papers should be double spaced, with 12 point font (Times New Roman,Arial or Cambria are common ones) and one inch margins. Use paragraph format and provide a bibliography. Each page of the essay should be numbered.

FINALLY, You will need to find and use two secondary ACADEMIC
sources for this essay (no Wikipedia, dictionary.com, etc.). Your essay must start with a comprehensive introduction which includes: i. The position the author takes on the key question; ii. Your thesis; and iii. An explanation of how your essay will be organized. Your essay must have a clear paragraph structure, each starting with a clear topic sentence.

JUST THE FIRST PAGE AND A HALF.

When an organization decides to hire for a new position either internally or externally, there are a lot of methods that can be used to determine the most talented employee for the position. Most organizations use a combination of methods, such as personality tests and past work examples. With various methods available, it is important for the organization to know the strengths and weaknesses of the methods being considered for selecting potential employees.

This week, you will complete a Group Project on methods of selecting talented employees. Your Instructor will assign you to a group by Day 1 of Week 2. As a group, you will discuss and complete the assignment listed below using the Groups area located after Week 8 in the classroom. All group discussions should take place in the group Discussion forum. As you develop various drafts throughout your Group Project, make sure ALL drafts are posted to your group’s area. This will ensure that all group members and your Instructor can view the development process. At the end of Week 8, you will evaluate each group member’s participation in both projects.

Each group should elect one group member to submit the final version of the Group Project to the Week 3: Group Project area. Be sure to include the names of all group members. Based on this evaluation, your instructor has the right to reduce or remove your grade in BOTH projects.

Your Group Project will be a PowerPoint presentation of 10-15 slides that includes all of the elements listed below. The presentation should analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each of the following methods in selecting talented employees:

• Cognitive Ability Testing
• Personality Testing
• Physical Ability Testing
• Integrity Testing
• Drug Testing
• Application Forms
• Resumés
• Biodata
• Work Sample Testing
• Reference Checking
• Interviewing
The ones highlighted in yellow are the ones that I have to do.
• Integrity
• Drug testing
• Application Forms

Draw as widely and as explicitly as you can on our discussions and your life experiences and answer the following question. What roles does our participation in the social world have on our cognitive, social, emotional, and personality development? Examine both the positive and negative consequences of being social creatures, residing in a social environment. Furthermore, your answer should address the adaptive and maladaptive uses of cognition. Include in your discussion the 7 features of human cognition and cite examples of them from the articles and films. Feel free to use any personal experiences as well to demonstrate your understanding of the material.

The paper is to be five (5) pages in length, double-spaced; 1-inch margins, and font size should be 10-12. Please make sure you include all three (3) articles, three (3) films [dr. strangelove, pawnbroker, and the wild child], and as indicated above, at least one example of each of the seven (7) features of cognition.

Write a procedural email message to employees reminding them of standard operating procedures or organizational changes that take the form of step-by-step instructions. Be creative, or use an issue applicable to your work environment. (Example can be found on page 76, Figure 5.1, of the course text.)

The message should take the form of an email; however, you will submit your assignment to the online course shell.

The procedural message must adhere to the following requirements:

Content:
Introduce the main idea of the message in a concise, informative manner.
Itemize three to five (3-5) key points with detail.
Provide information about where and to whom questions should be directed.
Format:

Your assignment must:

Be typed, single-spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

Submitting your assignment:

Submit your assignment through the online course shell only.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

Use writing process strategies to develop brief business documents, such as routine messages, bad news messages, and persuasive/sales messages.
Support ideas or claims in body paragraphs with clear details, examples, and explanations.
Organize ideas logically by using transitional words, phrases, and sentences.
Use sentence variety and effective word choice in written communication.
Write clearly and concisely using proper writing mechanics.

Take home assignment 2: Book Discussion
Socialnomics – How Social Media Transforms the Way We Live & Do Business

Part 2 of the take-home assignment also contributes 10 points or 10% of your grade. I’d like you to read chapters 11-19 of Erik Qualman’s Socialnomics. I’m looking for a write-up of 4 pages (10 point font, double spaced) with your responses to the following queries.

1) In chapter 11, the author refers to the need for businesses to ask the question, “what is the social play” of their plans and programs. What does “social play” mean. Describe briefly the strategies of a brand that you use which has a strong “social play” in your view.
2) Have you ever created a blog? As an exercise for this class, please go to the blog Tumblr and create a blog account for yourself. Also conduct a search on Tumblr for any blogs that have been written on the brand/product for which you are writing a marketing plan. List 5 things that you learnt about your product as a result of the search on Tumblr.
3) Chapter 13 lists 100+ social media tools available. Of the list provided, please pick 5, look these up and write a short blurb on each. When picking the tools, keep in mind your role as a marketer and describe how these tools could be useful to marketing professionals.
4) The author states that “only viewers make videos go viral”. However, what could you as a marketer do to maximize the chances of a video for your product to go viral?
5) List 2 videos that you have shared on a social media platform in the recent past. What were the main reasons that made you share those videos?
6) Pick 2 of the following brands, considered to be strong social brands. These are: Burberry, Four Seasons, Zappos, Starbucks and West Elm. After some research on social media sites that include (but not restricted to) Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest & Instagram, please write a couple of paragraphs on the strategies and tactics used by these brands that make them strong social brands.
