Description of Assessment
It is the goal of the ED S program to educate and prepare aspiring school leaders for the principalship. The purpose of the internship is to have an opportunity to practice one’s learning, apply theories, and gain knowledge from experts in the field. The Internship in LEAD 6135 is a field based experience with a focus on diversity.

Diversity is a broad topic and students are exposed to experiences that will enhance their respect, appreciation, and understanding of people who are different in the hopes that when they are leaders, they will be able to lead a diverse group of students, parents, teachers and stakeholders. Candidates reflect on their experiences in their own setting as well as in a different setting to write a reflective paper detailing their learning and future goals for growth.

Directions to Students
The culminating experience for this internship is a reflective paper detailing your learning. You are expected to document your activities in the form of a time log along with journaling your insights and reflections of your experiences, findings and thinking as it applies to the topic of diversity and review of literature. See the Internship Handbook for more information and responsibilities.

The Internship Final Paper should be in narrative form and follow APA format. It should include a summary of your entire internship experience, the ELCC Standards, your learning from the internship, and any artifacts created.

Introductory paragraph stating where the internship was done and who the mentor was
Diversity focus/theme
Cohesiveness of Internship experience
Reflection of the Internship including critical leadership lessons learned from the internship

Concluding reflection paragraph stating what would have made the internship more meaningful and future goals for further development of leadership skills

1. Answer the discussion topic in a 4-5 FULL page essay (not to include title, abstract and reference page) APA Format

2. Include an introduction, body, conclusion, title, abstract, and reference page.

3. Submit essay in MS Word.

Experiential learning is a method of educating through first-hand experiences, skills, and knowledge. These experiences are acquired outside of the traditional academic classroom setting, and may include internships, studies abroad, field trips, field research, professional duties held and service-learning projects. The Experiential Learning theory was developed by David A. Kolb and John Fry and was based on the idea that learning is a process whereby knowledge is created through a transformation of experiences. They are based on four main elements:
•Concrete experience
•Reflective observation
•Abstract conceptualization
•Active experimentation

When writing your essay ensure that you follow the below criteria:
•The project should be personally meaningful and have some significance to the student
•Reflect on and discuss the learning experience throughout the process of the assignment
•Ensure to involve you as a whole person, including your senses, personality, and emotions
•Acknowledge your previous knowledge on the below subject matter

Military Decision Making Process

Situation:
The commander and his staff focus on recognizing and anticipating battlefield activities in order to decide and act faster than the enemy. The primary product the staff produces for the commander, and for subordinate commanders, is understanding, or situational awareness. True understanding should be the basis for information provided to commanders to make decisions.
The staff officer who performs this mechanical staff functions, no matter how flawlessly, without understanding how commanders make decisions, is useless to his commander. Staff officers must be able to anticipate the outcome of current operations to develop concepts for a follow-on mission. They must also understand and be able to apply commonly understood doctrine in executing their missions.

Question:
?How can a staff NCO anticipate the outcome of current operations to develop concepts for follow-on-missions?
?As a Staff NCO, what key essential characteristics are necessary along with leader attributes and core competencies?
?While utilizing a personal event or mission, describe the process from the initial step to the final step required for planning and executing a mission or event.
?How do TLP’s work into the MDMP and what is the impact and importance of Step 8 of TLP?
?Briefly describe the roles and responsibilities of each G or S staff?

You are assessing a real multinational corporation (MNC) by the standards of “best practice” for international management as presented in your course readings.

Describe the nature of Bombardier’s international operations in general, its specific interests in Thailand, its strategies. Research the implementation problems that it has encountered in Thailand.

Indicate, to the extent that data are available, how those problems were dealt with. Identify the general management, finance, accounting, marketing and human resources practices of Bombardier: How does local culture and geography impact strategy, organization, and operations?

The specific Issues/topics you choose for analysis will depend on the industry and country you selected. Choose the ones you think are the most important problems/issues the real MNC faces in the country you selected. Here is the topic/issue for analysis:

Strategy: Briefly analyze the strategy (industry, products, markets, core competencies). What types of entry modes did Bombardier use in Thailand? Does the mode(s) fit the Bombardier’s goals and objectives? What is the Bombardier’s competition in Thailand? Are there local partners?

The critical thinking project/paper (about 2 to 2.5 single-spaced pages or 1200 to 1500 words) is worth 10 points (10 percent of the final grade), should be based exclusively on the assigned material of Topic 5, and should provide a thoughtful explanation of (1) what common motives and goals unite geopolitical Axis 1 countries, (2) what common motives and goals unite geopolitical Axis 2 countries, and (3) what contradictory motives and goals divide the two geopolitical axes. You should first skim/read through the following slides to identify clearly the parties at war in Palestine-Israel (slides 221-223, 285, 294, 319, 332, 335-337, 342-346), the parties at war in Iraq (slides 2-5, 7-26, 41-42, 79-90), the parties at war in Libya (slides 140-144, 149-151, 162-173, 333-334), the parties at war in Syria (slides 176-191 and 275-280, 342-346), and the parties at war in Yemen (slides 22, 172, 289-293, 299, 306, 328-329 ). The thoughtful explanation should somehow reflect the student’s ability to integrate multiple perspectives/ways of learning through scientific and historical perspectives (such as learning from objective facts and figures as in PowerPoint slides 3, 12, 52-54, 145, 219), learning through artistic and literary perspectives (such as learning from imaginary representations as in PowerPoint slides 2, 26-29, 94, 113, 166, 179, 188-1990, 267, 278, 280) and learning through ethical and behavioral perspectives (such as learning from irrational or immoral or emotional or moving social behaviors or situations as in PowerPoint slides 61-64, 157-161, 169, 193, 199, 276-277, 279, 301). To demonstrate some course-related ‘experiential learning’ (‘out-of-class-learning experience’), your paper should include a brief comparison of the Axis1-versus-Axis2 geopolitical explanation of major current issues in the news with other cultural, religious, sectarian, or other persuasive explanations you have personally encountered and documented either through your own ‘social media’ electronic communications with others worldwide or through your own face-to-face interaction with any identifiable/verifiable ISU or Terre Haute community group or individual. The paper must be formatted as a Microsoft Word file according to syllabus and blackboard guidelines and must be uploaded through the TurnItIn link. The paper is important and must be completed and submitted by the deadline to avoid 0 points, in addition to a grade penalty of 5 points. It should reflect independent and original writing and critical thinking and should be persuasive and well written

SECTION 2:
Personal Reflection
This will be similar to the midterm paper. We want to you think back over the entire semester and highlight some areas that were of interest to you.

This section should be a 3-4 page personal reflection essay on your entire semester in I101. We want you to hone in on at least 2 general topics/areas that you enjoyed (that you did not write about in your midterm paper).

INTRODUCTION:

What can we look forward to in this paper? Properly introduce the paper as a whole.

BODY:

You can do a mix-and-match of several topics that you enjoyed the most or target a particular lab or lecture that you enjoyed. You can also select a topic and extend on it to real-world examples and the like as you did in weekly lecture checks (although you MAY NOT reuse lecture check material). Your essay should be substantially based on a mix of course lectures, online lectures, and/or labs. You are welcome to use other resources that you research but this is a personal reflection on what YOU have learned in the class.

As mentioned in the “research requirements” listed at the top of this assignment, you should include at least 2 lecture citations FOR THIS SECTION in addition to the other research you have gathered – just find something to use in your essay to support your writing and what you are trying to say. Please use MLA citation (in-line too!)

“Questionnaires,” Interviews with 12 Contemporary Artists, in Art School
(Propositions for the 21st Century). (Steven Madoff, ed., 2009)
“How to Be an Artist by Night,” by Raqs Media Collective, in Art School
(Propositions for the 21st Century). (Steven Madoff, ed., 2009)
ESSAY TOPIC:
Write an essay (600 words, minimum) reflecting on your experience as an art
student. If you are not an art student, adapt this essay to reflect your experience
with whatever degree you are working on.
Step 1: Having considered the multiple perspectives expressed in the above
readings, which of these resonates the most for you (discuss at least 2 specific
examples) – explain why they are of interest to you (do they parallel your own
experiences, do they represent points of view or experiences you had not
previously considered?).
Step 2: Offer your own answers to the questions asked in the Art School
questionnaires that seem relevant to you (you do not have to answer all of them).
Here are some additional questions you may want to consider: Why did you
choose this major? What did you hope to get out of the experience? How is it
going so far? How would you evaluate the program you are in? What do you
hope to be doing in 5 years? In 10 years? How has this program helped to
prepare you to move in that direction?

ASSIGNMENT TASK:
In 5000 words, please provide a critical and comparative analysis of qualitative and quantitative approaches to research investigation.
The assignment assesses the use of a wide range of relevant material, the ability to summarise this material effectively and the ability to construct and defend a coherent academic argument.

Hi,
before somebody starts working on 5000 word essay I need to get smaller jobs done – research proposal, the research ethic comittee protocal, questionaire approved my by tutor.
I really do not mind what the research is on, I am a secondary school language teacher, tutor. It needs to be related to my field.
I would very much appreaciate if a writer could cooperate with me during the preparation time. It is really important to me.
So, my initial order will be for 8 pages (happy to more if it is more) and once everything is approved by my tutor I would put the order for 5000 words in.
It would be good if the same person worked on the project. Last time I had somebody else writing the prep work and somebody else writing the essay.

Read chapter 7 and Answer the following questions:1. Your firm regularly sells to customers in Germany, Poland, Japan, Canada, and Venezuela. How would you evaluate the creditworthiness of firms in each of these countries? How would the credit risk differ in each of these countries? What sources of information would you use? Under what circumstances would you consider selling to firms in these countries without a letter of credit? In which of these countries would you want an American bank to confirm the buyer’s letter of credit? Why? What additional protection does confirming the credit provide?
2. An advising bank presents documents to you for payment. How would you respond to each of the following discrepancies? Explain your answers.

a. The letter of credit calls for an ocean bill of lading. The seller presents a trucker’s bill of lading showing shipment to an ocean port.

b. The sales contract and the letter of credit call for shipment of “Soda Ash Light.” The invoice shows shipment of “Soda Ash Light,” but the bill of lading describes the shipment as “Soda Ash.”
c. The letter of credit calls for shipment of 1,000 kilograms. The invoice shows shipment of an equal amount in pounds.
d. The CIF contract with the letter of credit calls for onboard bill of lading to be dated by December 20. The bill of lading is dated December 20, but the insurance policy is dated December 21.

The professor said Fully discuss all aspects of both problems – including definitions of all legal terms and concepts, and legal analyses of issues. I especially remind you of the independence principle and the rule of strict compliance, and of Exhibit 7.4 (“Common Discrepancies Found in Documentation”).
