Consider the following information relative to your consulting engagement for Hoosier Media, Inc.

Marketing

Currently Hoosier Media utilizes traditional media vehicles for marketing. This includes print advertising to solicit new and renewal newspaper subscriptions. Other marketing tactics currently used include regional television and radio advertising spots. Management has expressed interest in expanding its marketing reach through social media and mobile app technology but is unsure how to move forward in those areas.

Information technology

Hoosier Media’s newsroom is in dire need of technological updates. All workstations currently have desktop computers; however, many employees have been requesting the ability to work from home as well as have access to company networks while on the road for business. Many of the younger employees would like to have access to iPads and would like to replace their desktop computer with lightweight laptop computers.

For the next phase of your consulting engagement, address the following in a 850+ word paper:

• Propose      marketing and information technology implementation tactics for Hoosier      Media, Inc.

The paper should also reflect on how the company should communicate its strategic plan to key stakeholders by:

• Identifying      the information that should be communicated.
• Defining      the audience that should receive the communication.
• Identifying      the channel(s) of communication.

Joe has scheduled a meeting with his management team for next week to talk about the Peninsula Hotel chain contract. He hopes that he will be able to work with them to draft a contract favorable to Peninsula that will ensure its renewal for another year. He is reasonably sure that the contract renewal will ensure his continued success and employment with UWEAR. On his way out of the office today, Joe receives a call from Bill.

Bill: “Joe, how are you doing? Got any great plans for the weekend?”

Joe: “No, my wife and I are just planning on hanging out at home and relaxing. How about you?”

Bill: “My family and I are planning a short trip on the yacht. We haven’t been out in a while, and the weather looks perfect. Maybe you and your wife could join us? We haven’t seen you guys in quite a while, and it will be good to catch up.”Joe is relieved to get the invitation from Bill because their relationship has been strained lately because of the contract negotiations.Joe must decide how he will answer Bill’s invitation to join him and his family on their yacht. Complete the following in a paper of 500–700 words, excluding cover and reference pages.

Part I: Address the following:Apply the rational choice model to arrive at your recommendation for Joe regarding his response to the invitation to spend the weekend on Bill’s yacht.  In what ways do you agree or disagree with the result of applying the rational choice model?

Part II:What ethical theory supports the response to this invitation that you recommend to Joe?  Why would you use this theory?   What is an alternative recommendation, applying a different ethical theory?   Compare and contrast your recommendation with the alternative.

A world view is a fundamental or basic orientation of thinking – like a mindset – which guides a culture and / or a person’s life. Like a point of view, it can be built of concepts, ideas, values, emotions, and ethics. “Weltanschauung” is the German word for this idea. Your goal for this course is to understand the world views of these various religions. In order to prepare you for your final assignment, you will outline the world views of various religions in the chart below, adding to it each week.

For this assignment, students will complete the weekly area of the chart, filling in the aspects of each religion as it is presented in the readings and resources. This chart, when complete, will be the starting point for the written assignment, due in Week 10.

For each weekly submission:

1. Review the weekly lectures and supplemental materials provided, then complete the chart by elaborating on each section related to the weekly content.
2. Identify key details and examples from the weekly resources to serve as a basis for the content being recorded in your chart.
3. Write clearly and coherently using correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and mechanics.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

• Analyze the similarities and differences in the primary beliefs held by major religious traditions and the cultures in which these religions evolved.
• Describe the varieties of religious experience and practice in a wide range of cultures.

• Write clearly and concisely about world religions using proper writing mechanics.
