The scientific method is a critical aspect of criminal justice. Following this series of five steps is instrumental in performing a thorough investigation or research on a given topic. For this assignment, you will utilize the contemporary issue that was approved by your instructor (which also serves as the focus of your final Literature Review project) to determine how the scientific method would be used to present information regarding the topic to your chain of command so that consideration on appropriate actions can be taken.

For your Research Paper, select one aspect of cultural diversity from the following list that you would like to study:

Once you have chosen one aspect of cultural diversity to study in depth, prepare a Research Paper with the following components:

 

  • Summarize the pertinent historical, political, social, economic and cultural factors related to your chosen aspect of diversity.
  • Consider and summarize any relevant developmental theory models related to your chosen aspect of diversity.
  • In regard to your chosen aspect of diversity, identify and evaluate the relevant laws or programs that have either helped or restricted access to care and support.
  • Evaluate how your chosen aspect of diversity, in combination with two other aspects of diversity, can lead to increased needs or issues. The Department of Labor’s (DOL) mission is to promote and develop the welfare of the job seekers and retirees of the United States. In doing so the Department of Labor has programs that are grant funded to enhance the workforce through workforce development programs such as the Employment and Training Administration (ETA). Discuss the use of innovative technology by means of mHealth, telehealth, telenursing, and telemedicine. The definitions of, examples of use, and the advantages and disadvantages of mHealth, telehealth, telenursing, and telemedicine were presented. Based on the information you reviewed and professional experience answer the following questions.
