After following the instructional sequence, which includes reading the required chapters and the unit lesson, please discuss the following scenario. Imagine you are a police officer and having a private conversation with a fellow officer. Unbeknownst to you, a fellow officer is recording the conversation. You are later contacted by your supervisor and informed that you are now under internal investigation for what was said on the recording. Do you believe your rights have been violated in the given scenario? Explain why or why not.

ANSWER THE ABOVE QUESTION AND THEN REPLY TO MY CLASSMATE’S RESPONSE TO THE ABOVE QUESTIONS AND EXPLAIN WHY YOU AGREE? (A MINIMUM OF 125 WORDS or MORE)
                                                      CLASSMATE’S POST
In this scenario, I do not feel that my rights have been violated. Based on this scenario being an on-duty conversation, I’m also considering firsthand knowledge that at any time inside or outside the patrol unit leads to a possibility of me being recorded or videotaped by my unit, Body-Worn Cameras (BWC), or by the general public.
When conversing with coworkers, conversations should remain tactful. Even if something is said “off the record”, an officer should always be mindful that he could be scrutinized at any point by any action. In the 2019 case of former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger, prosecutors introduced text messages in which Guyger made offensive statements about the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and black colleagues on the police force (Sanchez, 2019). These text messages were from her personal mobile phone; however, they were subject to scrutinization and interpretation by parties involved and the general public. Many may see this as an invasion of privacy however I reiterate that being a public servant comes with a higher level of transparency and being subjected to scrutiny. As public servants, police officers should be held to a higher standard (Burrus, 2014).
If my conversation with a fellow officer leads to an internal investigation, I should be ready to explain and defend any accusations or statements that may have been considered a violation of department policy. Also, I should be able to elaborate on recorded information that may be apart of another investigation that I was not privy to.
As officers, we must always maintain (or attempt to maintain) public trust. While in the Auxiliary Police Academy several years ago, I was advised that someone is always watching and listening. I was further advised that I should always be mindful of personal conversations on my cell phone while inside my patrol unit, out in public, and quite frankly, while wearing the uniform.

Introduction

????Many of us like to complain about politics and the politicians who hold positions in government, but a great deal of thought has gone into the creation of our form of representative democracy. This week we will explore the evolution of democracy since its inception. In doing so, we will also examine the original application of democratic theory in Athens as a means of understanding the changes made to it in the attempt to make it a stable and reliable form of government. Furthermore, we will examine how Great Britain and other democracies represents its people.

Democracy

????When people read political philosophy from the ancient world, they find a decidedly negative evaluation of democracy. We have become so accustomed to our modern image of democracy that the ancient world’s adverse view might seem strange. What could someone possibly have against rule by the people? In the ancient world, specifically the Greek city-state of Athens, democracy was “rule by the people” in the most direct sense. Political assemblies involved meetings of every single citizen, which at the time included only men with a certain standing in society. Attendance at these meetings would number in the hundreds, and everyone would be involved in the decision-making process. You can imagine how chaotic this might have been! Just picture one of the presidential debates with no moderators or television end time. These assemblies would last all day, and would often erupt in great debates and disorganized talking. The leaders of these assemblies would simply be the individuals who could speak more articulately and persuasively than the others and convince others what to do. In retrospect, many of the decisions made by such assemblies were not wise. This led many of the philosophers at the time, most notably Plato and Aristotle, to be suspicious of the merits of democracy.  Based in part on the criticisms of pure democracy in the ancient world, when the first democracies began to emerge in the modern world, many believed that the only way to have a stable democracy was through representatives being elected by the people. After the American Revolution, the U.S. founders were interested in creating a government that would be well ordered to prevent chaos and instability. The notion behind this new form of government was that every person would have a vote, but that this vote would be communicated to the government through an elected representative. This representative would have the primary responsibility of setting public policy and would remain faithful to the will of the people through regular elections. This representative form of government is referred to as republican democracy. The representative form of democracy in the modern world is also combined with the enlightenment ideal of individual liberty. This idea, which evolves from an expanding acceptance of human reason and equality, suggests that governments should be primarily responsible for ensuring that individual liberties are respected and that the basic needs of citizens are met. Thus, in a liberal sense, government is intended to be limited to the role of protector, a role that might be needed among a population. Representatives elected according to liberal democratic principles are responsible for providing for the national defense and ensuring that everyone’s liberty is preserved.

Trend Report

• Each student will identify a trend in Information Systems and Technology supported by three pieces of research to support why you think it is a trend (cite sources).

• A trend is defined as “A general direction in which something is developing or changing.”  This is not a new product, but rather a trend in the overall environment.

For example (you can’t use this one) Trend: Cyber Security is a growing job field. Evidence – research on the number of attacks, growth in Cyber Security programs at universities, U.S. formation of Cyber Command.

• Your document should be 3-4 pages in length and include citations in MLA or APA format.

This presentation will also later have a paper so I will come back in a week and have a paper written on this same presentation you will see it in the assignment details I uploaded I also upload a lot of information from the ibis world that you can use to help you complete the assignment I need someone that knows exactly what they are doing here is the assignment

Assignment Details

For this assignment, suppose that you work for a consulting firm, and that you have been asked to research a company and make a presentation to your client.

For the presentation:

1. Choose a major U.S. company,  ( I choose Johnson & Johnson)

2. Research the company and the market(s) in which it competes, and

3. Prepare a presentation of 10-12 PowerPoint slides (with detailed speaker notes).

Using information from the business press, AIU’s Library, IBIS World, and the Internet, address the following in your slides:

· Describe the firm, include such information as its:

o products or services

o annual sales, and

o market share (this information is readily available in the IBIS World database.)

· Describe the market(s) in which it operates.

For instance, does it operate within an oligopoly or monopolistically competitive market, a perfectly competitive market, or is it a monopoly? (Choose the closest fit.)

Explain.

· Does it operate in only one region of the United States? Does it operate nationally or internationally?  Explain.

· Who are its competitors?

o Give a brief  overview of the other businesses in the market that it competes against.

· Identify and explain at least 2 economic concepts that this firm seems to use to its advantage.

o Examples might include product differentiation; attainment of economies of scale; advertising; whether the firm is regional, national, or international; and so on.

· Please include an explanation of how any significant recent events or changes in this market have affected this firm. Examples are mergers and acquisitions, technological change, legal issues, whether market demand is expanding, and so on.

· Provide your evaluation of how this firm might better respond to the challenges it faces.

Present your information, with appropriate pictures and graphics, in a PowerPoint presentation.

· Your presentation should consist of a minimum of 10 slides of content, and the following: a title slide, an introductory slide, a conclusions slide, and a references slide.

· Use at least 2 sources when researching information to support your argument. Remember to use credible, current sources to support your presentation. Use APA reference and citation formatting for the sources that you use. Place citations on the relevant slides with 1-2 slides at the end for your reference list.

· The main topics or bullet points should appear on the slides with supporting visuals, while the Speaker Notes area (the box located at the bottom of each slide that allows you to type in notes) should be used to go into more depth regarding these main topics.

· Notes Boxes: Make sure the notes include information from the sources you have discovered in your research. This is a very important element of your assignment because it will provide both you and your audience with supporting explanations that the bullet posts simply cannot convey.

Please note the following:

· These slides will provide you with a map that you will use when you prepare your paper submission for Unit 8.

· By doing careful research now, taking good notes, and organizing your presentation well, you will make your Unit 8 paper much easier to write.

The following offer information to help you with your research:

· IBIS World Industry Reports are an excellent source of information for this assignment. IBIS World Reports are available through AIU’s Library in the Find Articles and E-books section of the e-Resources area.
