• Topic: Describe the Advisory Commission on Consumer Protection and Quality in the Health Care Industry’s listing of patient responsibilities.

•  You have to create a Power Point Presentation with a minimum of 12 slides (including Title Page, Introduction, Conclusion, and References). You may incorporate your voice in the Power Point Presentation with explanations about the topic on discussion. There is not Word Limit. The student MUST use other textbooks, research papers, videos, and articles as references (Minimum: 4 references). Never copy and paste from what other authors have written. Make sure you write in your own words and APA format. Make sure you include Citation and Quotation.

Prior to beginning this discussion, please read and view the following required sources:

  • “Flexible Retrieval: When True Inferences Produce False Memories”
  • “Memory Suppression in Alzheimer’s Disease”
  • “Mnemonic Instruction in Science and Social Studies for Students with Learning Problems: A Review”
  • “Short-Term Memory and Long-Term Memory Are Still Different”
  • “The Development of Real-Time Stability Supports Visual Working Memory Performance: Young Children’s Feature Binding Can Be Improved Through Perceptual Structure”
  • Memory

In your initial post, you will apply what you learned from each of the five articles, but you will discuss the findings and implications for just one of these articles. The articles are assigned based on the first letter of your last name. Please see the list below to determine which of the articles you will focus on for your initial post based on the first letter of your last name:

  • F through J: “Memory Suppression in Alzheimer’s Disease”

In your initial post,

  • Explain the empirical research presented in your assigned article, applying appropriate citations and references.
  • Describe, in your own words, how the research relates to your own experiences as well as how this area of psychology may have affected your past or current beliefs about memory development. Do the research findings refute or support your current beliefs, and in what ways? Are there variables about memory of which you were unaware based on your article?
  • Apply skeptical inquiry to the potential problems that might arise from research in the area of memory, and relate it to the APA’s Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct.
  • Provide a rationale for whether or not this premise is valid and/or appropriate based on the findings reported by the assigned articles.

Write a 4-page paper that addresses the following: MUST BE APA FORMAT

  • Summarize the question you developed, and then relate how you would work through the four steps of the data, information, knowledge, wisdom continuum. Be specific.
    • Identify the databases and search words you would use.
    • Relate how you would take the information gleaned and turn it into useable knowledge.
  • Can informatics be used to gain wisdom? Describe how you would progress from simply having useful knowledge to the wisdom to make decisions about the information you have found during your database search.

Question 1(1.5 pages):

Describe how you have taken advantage of a significant educational opportunity or worked to overcome an educational barrier you have faced.

Student’s Note:

During 2019 spring, my friend told me about USC summer camp, and I searched for it. It is an opportunity to study at USC and USC’s professor will teach us. USC is one of the best engineering schools, and it is close to my house. It will be a great chance for me to learn in USC. I soon register for this summer camp and got accepted.

I am the leader of group 6

In week one, I started with building the robot, but in day 3, our teammate told me they didn’t have any express in computer science where I learned coding from school and Science Fair I did in 11th grade. I start to do the coding part and our robot works pretty well.

In week two, we build a bridge, I worked on design the bridge and build the bridge. The bridge was really successful and it didn’t crush.

In week 3, I figured out “and” and “or” gate and build the logic circuit, it was not working at first because there was some problem with wiring, but some help, it worked perfectly.

In week 4, I build the airplane and the rocket, the airplane successfully flied and the rocket lunched.

Also, for the research paper, I researched on what we need for Water Treatment assigned people what they need t research on and I put their work together.

Question 2(1.5 pages): Leadership can be demonstrated in many ways. Please share how you have demonstrated leadership in either your school, job, community, and/or within your family responsibilities.

Initial Post Instructions
Think about conversations around politics when you were in primary school (around age 10). What were some of the ways you learned about the political establishment through family members and friends? How were you politically socialized as a child? Use evidence (cite sources) to support your response from assigned readings or online lessons, and at least one outside scholarly source.

APA format for in-text citations and list of references

  • According to your textbook, to minimize the risk of material misstatement, auditors seek third- party verification of account balances by mailing customers their statements. Discuss the advantages of positive and negative confirmations, and ascertain whether or not email and oral confirmations are acceptable to increase customer response rates. Support your position.
  • Discuss the key differences between substantive tests of transactions and substantive tests of balances. Next, identify at least two (2) situations when an auditor should test account balances. Support your rationale with related examples of such circumstances.
  • Create a scenario that demonstrates specific ways in which management could manipulate transactions impacting inventory values that the auditing team might not detect. Recommend key strategies that the auditor could implement in anticipation of such manipulation. Justify your response.
  • Discuss the difference between a subsequent event and a subsequent discovery of facts. Next, determine the auditor’s responsibility for each event after the audit report is completed. Support your position.

Q: Can there ever be too much regulation? Why or why not? In your response please state why government regulation exist according to the text.

Regulations are used for diverting private resources to achieve policy goals. Federal agencies issue and enforce standards ranging from environmental quality to business and banking. Regulatory mandates often are very costly. I do think there are more regulations then we necessarily need. Like many other things involved with government, there are good and bad outcomes that come with this. I personally think the good outweighs the bad. No one likes regulations, just like no one likes going to the DMV. But we can’t just leave it up to the free market to make sure drivers have licenses, food doesn’t contain poison, or bankers don’t take risks that threaten the global economy. Many think government regulation is an occasionally annoying but a necessary aspect of living in a capitalist society. Some people say regulations are life-saving protections. The U.S. government has set many business regulations in place to protect employees’ rights, protect the environment and hold corporations accountable for the amount of power they have in a very business-driven society.

Identify a quality improvement opportunity in your organization or practice. In a 1,250-1,500 word paper, describe the problem or issue and propose a quality improvement initiative based on evidence-based practice. Apply “The Road to Evidence-Based Practice” process, illustrated in Chapter 4 of your textbook, to create your proposal.

Include the following:

  1. Provide an overview of the problem and the setting in which the problem or issue occurs.
  2. Explain why a quality improvement initiative is needed in this area and the expected outcome.
  3. Discuss how the results of previous research demonstrate support for the quality improvement initiative and its projected outcomes. Include a minimum of three peer-reviewed sources published within the last 5 years, not included in the course materials or textbook, that establish evidence in support of the quality improvement proposed.
  4. Discuss steps necessary to implement the quality improvement initiative. Provide evidence and rationale to support your answer.
  5. Explain how the quality improvement initiative will be evaluated to determine whether there was improvement.
  6. Support your explanation by identifying the variables, hypothesis test, and statistical test that you would need to prove that the quality improvement initiative succeeded.
