This is group presentation of 3 people for Genetics Lab.
Each person should make up a question will be answering.
your job is to make up the question on Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy topic and answer it.

need to know the question you choose as soon as you choose it and before you start answer it.

You should choose different question than the other student, which are:

1/What Is Mitochondrial Therapy, and How Does It Work?
2/What Are the Benefits of Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy? and What Are the Consequences of Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy?

I’m looking for an easy and short presentation, not more that 4 mins

Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy
Mitochondrial replacement therapy is a novel therapeutic technology based on in vitro fertilization, which holds the promise of preventing almost all heritable genetic conditions. The unorthodox therapy alters the genome of the resulting baby permanently and leads to a child with three genetic parents. Mitochondria replacement therapy is a specialized type of in vitro fertilization, whereby the mitochondrial DNA of the future baby is from the third party. Two of the many techniques are spindle and cytoplasmic transfer. The process can result in three-parent babies. The primary objective of the approach is the prevention of mitochondrial disease, as well as deafness and diabetes mellitus and other liver and heart conditions. The therapy is a subject of controversy in the domain of bioethics because it borders gene therapy. Currently, the procedure is yet to be approved in China and the United States for general use. The three-parent in vitro fertilization involves the transfer of an egg’s nucleus into the cytoplasm of nuclear-less egg, but still with the mitochondria DNA, and later fertilized with sperm. The goal is to get rid of a nucleus with a defective mitochondrion and replace it with a healthy donor cell.
BENEFITS AND CONSEQUENCES OF MITOCHONDRIAL REPLACEMENT THERAPY
According to scholars, therapy is a life-saving treatment that gives hope to millions of families in the world. It gives women an opportunity to give birth to healthy children without the dread of transmitting the debilitating and painful condition through generations. The treatment is a critical step, and whereas some may have reservations, the technique has been taken through the necessary public and ethical reviews. It is a step towards the prevention of not only the mitochondrial disease, but also all other genetically-transferable conditions, as well as liver and heart conditions. The DNA of the mitochondria represents an insignificant part of the entire DNA, and it is not a component of the Nuclear DNA. Therefore, it may have little effect on personal traits and characteristics such as eye color, hair, and personality.
