The link attached is an article from BMC Palliative Care and it is about helping children cope with the loss of a parent. I think this is a important topic because kids are so emotional and fragile and they have not yet learned positive coping skills (depending on how old the kid is). Going through this type of traumatic event at a young age can come with an array of physical and emotional problems. It such a stab to the heart when a parent looses a child but us as adults we have a real understanding of death and how to cope but kids usually do not have much experience with death and when a parent is their first interaction with death it can be extremely hard for them to get back to normal.
