Please follow the Guidelines file and the files I upload (these files will help you in writing the lab report for me).
Here is a couple of things about the Guideline for this paper that I need to tell you to make sure you write the best report:
- I can take care of the “Title, Name, TA Name, Section, Date”. You don’t have to worry about this.
- For the reaction scheme and mechanism, you can just use ChemBio Draw or you can draw by hand. When you draw the mechanism, please don’t copy exactly from the Lab Manual I’ll copy them later when I receive the report.
- For the “Procedure” section, please mention that “One small deviation noticed from this experiment was when the solution was heated on the hot plate (accompanied by a light stream of air over the solution to get rid of ethyl acetate). This delay lasted for an hour and a half, and it significantly impacted the afterward results” (you can rephrase it to make it look better)
- Please also answer the “additional questions” at the end of the Guideline for me. I’ll upload the pages of my Lab Manual for the question #2. Please show your work so I can get full credit.
- Please label the NMR and IR as directed in the Guideline. I’ll copy them into mine once I receive your work.:)
- You can look at Appendix A which I uploaded to have an idea what the format for a general lab report is. The Guideline pdf file is for this lab specifically.
- While you write the lab report, from the masses indicated in the Lab Manual you can just make up the masses of product(s) as long as it makes sense for this lab. I’ll provide you with any mass(es) I know of. Just ask me.
In addition, please follow the Guideline and fulfill all of its requirements stated in the Guideline. If everything goes smoothly, I’ll be contacting you for the next lab report:))
