Regarding the Article Review/Presentation, please read the following for detailed instructions:
Each student will be responsible for beginning the discussion of the readings for one class session. That entails preparing a 15-20 minute presentation on one of the assigned readings and the major questions they raise at the outset of that class. Students should be ready to answer the instructor¶s questions about the readings. A week into the semester you will be asked to sign up for one session (article). I will pass around a signup sheet for you to pick a session with the related readings. The presentations days are usually Thursdays of each week. As part of this exercise you will also be required to hand in (to the instructor, due the following class) a response paper addressing the particular reading that you have discussed in class. For the response paper you are expected to critically reflect (strength and weaknesses of the article) on both the readings and the class discussion. This should not just be a re-statement of the arguments we have discussed but, rather, should provide your own opinions and criticisms (Three typed pages, double-spaced, cite page no. when necessary).
