Samsung Electronics Company is a multinational electronics firm that started in South Korea and has its headquarters in Suwon, South Korea. It happens to be the world’s second largest company dealing with information technology products. It lags behind the Apple Company. Given it multinational nature, Samsung company has over 8o electronics assembling plants and sales points each in a different country around the world. It employs over three hundred and seventy thousand personnel in its plants across continents. The current seating CEO is Kwon Oh-Hyun who has been the company’s CEO since 2012. For a long time, Samsung company has been a producer of electronic components such as lithium batteries, chips, hard drives, flash memory, etc., all destined for other electronics companies such as Apple, Nokia, and Sony. However, in the recent past, it started manufacturing consumer electronics such as mobile phones. As for now, it is the world leader in mobile phones and smartphones production. Its popularity was driven by it spectaculars Samsung Galaxy brand of smartphones (Garside).
Among its most ingenious works, it’s the production of Samsung Galaxy S7. The device was released in March 2016, and by its launching, the average price for the devices was $ 569. The product is a development of the previous Galaxy S6 that had got into the market in early 2015 (Marco and Morran). Its specs are described as innovation beyond science, which gives it a top value in the consumer world. This device is produced in Vietnam where over 50% of all Samsung devices are made from. The specific reason for it being produced in Vietnam being the cheap production costs as compared to other locations where it has its plants in the world.
