Instructions

For this assignment, you will research and document a case study of an extractive industry (e.g. coal, bauxite, gold etc.). Your case study can be drawn from anywhere in the world. In your reaction paper, you will speak about the social and ecological challenges associated with that industry. You can also talk about efforts being made by the industry to reduce its impacts.

All assignments should be uploaded on Sakai by 11:55PM on Thursday November 21, 2019.
Assignments can be uploaded as either Microsoft Word or PDF. The assignments are not to exceed
1,500 words and should not be less than 1,000 words (references not included), with font style Times
New Roman or Calibri, font size 12, and line spacing 1.5. Please include a work cited page, this will not
be included in the word count.
