1. Introduction: One paragraph which provides an overview of the history and development of the National Patient Safety Goals.
2. Body of the Paper:
a. Introduce the reader to the selected patient safety goal, and discuss the “Elements of Performance” related to the selected goal.
b. Summarize in your own words the key points of the journal article. When referencing the article, APA format should be used.
c. Discuss how this goal impacts nursing care and patient outcomes in the current clinical setting.
3. Summary and conclusion: A summary of the main points of the paper, and a final statement regarding the selected 2016 National Patient Safety Goal.
