Write an essay (1,000-1,250 words) that addresses the mind-body problem. Be sure to include the following in your paper:

An introductory paragraph that includes a thesis statement (50-100 words).
A paragraph that defines and describes the basic issues/questions concerning the mind-body problem (100-150 words).
Describe the following four philosophical solutions to the mind-body problem (type, identity theory, functionalist physicalism, property dualism, and substance dualism) as discussed in the course materials (250-300 words).
Choose what you believe to be the best one of these five philosophical solutions to the mind-body problem, based on readings in this topic. In detail, present and explain your position and provide support for your view (500-550 words).
Finally, provide a brief concluding paragraph that summarizes your essay (100-150 words).
Use and properly cite information from the course materials (for example: class lectures, topic overview, textbook, topic videos, additional supplemental academic sources) and two to three additional academic sources (for example: GCU Library databases for journal articles, philosophy dictionaries and encyclopedias) to inform your response.
