There are three parts to this assignment.

Part 1: Complete the attached Grant Proposal Budget   Detail Planner Worksheet.

Part 2: Complete a Budget Narrative. See attachment   for detailedinstructions. The budget narrative is written last.   It is a detailed written explanation for all the proposed expenses   detailed on the Budget Detail Planner Worksheet. Each category from   the Budget Detail Planner Worksheet must be justified by clearly   explaining the relationship between the proposed activities and the   expenditures. For example, if you list that you need two counselors,   describe why you need two counselors and justify the salary (research   counselor salaries in your area).

Part 3: Revise and edit your draft Executive Summary   submitted in Topic 7 using feedback provided by your instructor.   Submit the final revised Executive Summary.

While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment,   solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources   should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be   found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to   beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for   successful completion.

This benchmark assesses competency 4.4: Use workload       measurements of organizational units to allocate resources and       create work schedules that will result in efficient staffing and       resource deployment for an agency.

Write a  brief discussion  about  :When  a victim reports to the authorities that they have been involved in an abusive relationship,  the police always asked if they told anyone? How credibility would it be for a friend or neighbor to report  an incident if the victim was too afraid to  contact police?

 

The purpose of this assignment is to discuss how an individuals role within a health care organization affects or influences the application of quality improvement and measurement tools.

Quality improvement and measurement tools are utilized by a wide range of professionals within a health care organization and may be applied differently depending on the nature of the professionals work. The role of health care professionals can determine how they view quality initiatives, including the different methods of measurement and types of quality improvement tools. Discuss these variations in the applicability of quality improvement and measurement tools with respect to the professionals area of focus and role within the health care organization.

In a paper of 1,000-1,250 words, address the following points:

1. Identify three quality measurement/improvement tools and discuss the purpose or focus of each. What can these tools be used to understand or assess?
2. Describe how each of these quality improvement tools could be used to measure quality by at least three professionals in a health care organization. Include an example of at least one administrative health professional, one mid-level clinical provider, and a physician.

Include at least four scholarly references in addition to the textbook.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

The unique needs of each individual offender means that a one size fits all approach to sanctions does not work for offenders. As a result, a range of punishments has been developed to address the various needs of different offenders.

In your initial response, discuss the role of intermediate sanctions as a punishment alternative within corrections. Begin your response by defining the concept of intermediate sanctions as it applies to corrections. Provide specific examples of different types of intermediate sanctions. Conclude your response by evaluating whether or not you believe intermediate sanctions as they are currently designed are effectively working to rehabilitate offenders.

In last week’s Individual Project you selected 1 of the 2 topics that you surmised were critical issues in the modern criminal justice system. The topics were to come from issues, problems, and policies in law enforcement, corrections, or the court system. Consider that you are working toward a final capstone project position paper, and research and analyze your second topic. Tip: If your second topic is somehow related to your first topic, then you will be ahead of the game. By selecting integrated topics, you may ultimately combine your position papers into a document that will be part of your capstone final project.Assignment GuidelinesAddress the following in a literature review of 2 pages:  What second topic have you selected for this assignment? Explain.  How did you select the topic that you are researching? Explain.  Now, select 810 scholarly sources, and conduct a literature review for this second topic. Tip: The defense of your paper cannot be stressed enough. You must take care to support factual statements with valid reference material.  Use the criticism of the instructor in this course for this paper as a guide toward a rewrite if necessary to make your final capstone project a major success.  Remember not to take it personally when you are criticized in terms of modifications to the paper. Be sure to reference all sources using APA style. Please submit your assignment.

 

Unit I Case Study

For this assignment, you will explore the concept of stare decisis and whether it is an inexorable command. Click the link to access , and write a case study that answers, at a minimum, the questions listed below.

• What does the court mean when it says “Stare decisis is not an inexorable command; rather it is a principle of policy and not a mechanical formula of adherence to the latest decision”?
• What would it mean for the American system of criminal justice if stare decisis actually was an “inexorable command” or a “mechanical formula of adherence to the latest decision”?

Your case study will be a minimum of two pages in length, not counting the title and reference pages. (Your response to each question should be roughly 250300 words.) Your case study should present an insightful and thorough analysis with strong arguments and evidence.You are required to use at least two outside resources, one of which may be your textbook. All resources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations. Your case study, including all references, will be formatted in APA style. 

When comparing the Classical School and the Positivist School, which do you think has a stronger foundation in explaining criminal behavior? In other words, do you believe that people freely choose to engage in crime (Classical School), or do you believe that criminal behavior is largely predetermined, e.g., from biological traits (Positivist School)? Why?

Each of the  following scenarios involves governmental classifications based upon  gender.  Choose any two of the following scenarios.  In 300-words or  more, discuss whether or not the statute is constitutional. 

To get full credit you will need to:  Provide an example of researched, recent case law.

Answer the questions with a minimum 300-word response.

Research one criminal case within the last three years in which authorities found the defendant to be engaging in deviant behavior. As you research this case, investigate the manner in which social controls may have helped or hurt the defendant.  

Write a 3- to 5-page paper in which you address the following thoroughly. Cite specifics from the case wherever possible to support your arguments: 

1. Determine whether or not you believe social controls played a significant role in the consequences for the defendant. Provide a rationale to support your position.   
2. Debate whether you believe that the social norms for persons of the defendants age support the use of this behavior. Next, support or criticize whether the social norms of persons the defendants age are reasonable in a very politically correct society. Provide support for your response.  
3. Argue for or against the theory that an informal sanction (i.e., ostracism by peers) would have deterred the defendants behavior. Next, specify whether or not the informal sanctions would have satisfied anyone who was offended by the behavior of the defendant. Provide a rationale to support your response.   
4. Identify formal sanctions brought against the defendant for the behavior. Considering the sanction, elaborate on the primary manner in which this formal sanction carried out the purpose of protecting persons connected to the defendant. Justify your response.  
5. Use at least three quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar types of websites do not qualify as academic resources.  
6. Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements: 

• Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references should follow the . Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

Moore that despite unprofessional conduct on the part of the police, there was no violation of Mr. Moores civil rights when the police profiled him because they knew that he was driving under a suspended license. A subsequent arrest and search for the suspended drivers license resulted in the finding of controlled substances and additional charges.
