Ack! I need to add a discussion board. because we need to discuss “WHat is popular culture?”

this one is mandatory. but that means you can skip one of the remaining 7.

discuss: what is popular culture? you can use the book and also your own interpretations

one important point: popular culture is tied to different generations and within time, the popular culture I experienced in the 70s growing is very different from what many of dealt with in the 00’s BUT IT IS STILL ALL POPULAR CULTURE

Blakes 7 is a piece of popular culture. NONE of you have likely heard of Blakes 7. Its a british sci fi tv show from the late 70s. It does not resonate with today’s world….but it was popular culture.

Point is, dont get hung up on “your generation” and the stuff that is timely now. The stuff that is timely now certainly is pop culture and absolutely worth noting…but being new is not part of the definition of pop culture
