Analyze the Case Study for Competitive Strategy at Sportsman Shoes
Support your analysis with at least two recent scholarly sources to substantiate your insights.

Prepare a paper answering the following questions
1.    Following Sportsman’s shift in competitive strategy, what are some considerations for the company’s human resource management practices?

2.    What kind of challenges do you think that Sportsman’s faces specifically in the area of compensation?

Report Layout:

Write a 2- to 3-page ( a full page typically has at least 300 words) report, single spaced, one-inch margins, 12-point font, with a double space between paragraphs.

Please keep your report to no more than 3 pages.

Page count does not include title page, tables and exhibits, table of contents, and reference list.

Include a title page (include your name on the title page).

Use headings in your report such as Statement of Owners’ Equity and Statement of Cash Flows (topics from the textbook); other examples would be Balance Sheet and Income Statement.

Include a brief introduction of your company as well as a conclusion/summary at the end.

The bulk of your report should cover the accounting topics in (Owners’ Equity, Financial Ratios and Statement of Cash Flows) as well as the Balance Sheet and Income Statement. 

You will also be required to include the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Owners’ Equity, and Statement of Cash Flows as attachments to your report.

You can cut and paste directly from the SEC 10-K Report. These are considered attachments and are not part of the required page count for the report.

APA style is required for citations and a reference list. Include in text citations. The reference list is the most important.

Your report should use one-inch margins on the left, right, top, and bottom of each page, and font set at 12 point.

Privacy laws are in a near constant state of flux. Conduct research to identify the current state of privacy law. Has major legislation recently been proposed or approved? What are the implications for firms operating in effected industries? What are the potential benefits to consumers? Do consumers lose anything from this legislation?

Use the CIA framework from the readings. For each of the three dimensions of the CIA framework, research and find a different example (one for each dimension), which illustrate the failure of the organization on that dimension and give a brief explanation of what happened(perhaps using the People, Process and Technology framework). So you would have one example of an organization failing on Confidentiality, another example of problems due to lack of Integrity of data and finally some organization failing on Availability. Note that you need to research and cite three different examples.

For this assignment, you will complete an observation and analytical evaluation of an organization.

You will choose a business to observe either as an employee or as a customer/client. You will observe and evaluate the organization based on information you have learned about organizational culture. NOTE: Refer to the articles you have read during this module as well as the multimedia presentation about Company Culture in the Learning Activities area.

The assignment will be comprised of a PowerPoint with narration about your experiences in the observation and your analysis of the organization.

Bulleted Points on each slide should include brief points that identify the areas that will be addressed in the narration.

Your PowerPoint presentation should include a total of six slides using the following format:

What inferences can you make from your observation? You should cover the following ideas in your explanation:
Analyze the company based on information you have learned about organizational culture in the class. Areas to include are to
categorize the type of organizational culture you feel the company follows and support this information with what you have learned about organizational culture
compare the work done at the company and the organizational culture and explain how this relates
research the mission of the company and explain if it aligns with what you have observed. Explain why or why not.
Slide 5: Evaluation of Your Fit (1-2 minutes of narration)

Based solely on what you have observed and researched about the company (not based on the field of the company), do you feel you would be a good fit for this company? Why or why not?
Support this information with what you have learned through your observation as well as what you have researched about the company.
Share at least 2-3 social and behavioral attributes you have that would be an asset to this company. Explain why.

Assignment should follow APA formatting guidelines which includes in-text citations in the body of the presentation and a reference slide.
Researched information should be included on Slides 4 and 5 (In-text citations should be included with any brief points that were researched from outside sources and the narration should fully explain the points).
Identify the source of any pictures you use.
