Community-Oriented Policing and Gangs 6

Gang activity is perhaps the most destructive force in America. Community-oriented policing attempts to address some of the issues of gang life and how it impacts the quality of life in the community. For this weeks assignment locate a community-oriented policing program or a sub program within one that is attempting to deal with a gang problem. You might start by looking here for ideas:  https://www.bja.gov/programdetails.aspx?program_id=74.  Find one of the community programs and evaluate its effectiveness. Analyze what has worked and what has not worked. Make suggestions as to what might be an improvement to the program.

Write a 2 page APA style paper.  Only the body of the paper will count toward the word requirement (title page and references are in addition to the 2 pages)

In your paper, cite at least 2-3 references using the APA style guide format for in-text citation.

Only one reference may be found on the internet. The other references must be found in the library (this includes EBSCO Host and the Gale Criminal Justice Collection).

So Weve Got Some Problems

Community-oriented police programs are often created to set goals and solve problems. Two of those problems may have a lot to do with drugs and young people. For this weeks assignment analyze how a community-oriented policing program might deal with the issues of drugs and juvenile delinquency. Suggest strategies and approaches that would help the organization meet their goals. How could the community-oriented policing group create a design that would turn the presence of the youth into a strength of the program?

Outline your own science-driven film (you need to create it by yourself) in the sci-fi genre that relates to the topic that I covered in class( the topic is Geology, and I attached the slides with this topic from my class to files, so you can read all the information and write an outline based on it).

In your outline you need to write:

1. Summary of your plot (~1 page)

2. Description of the characters – at least one must be a scientist (in the field of Geology) (~1-2 pages) Make sure to clearly define the scientists credentials and skillset (what higher degree do they have and in what; what is their research speciality?)

3. Reflection on the balance of science and fiction/entertainment you would include in your film (in terms of theory, terminology, accurate portrayal of science and scientists); keep in mind budget, audience and access to information or resources. (~1 page)

You have to write 1-2 page response that addresses the following questions about the film :
The movie called the Lorax (2012).

1. In what scene(s) did you find science that we’ve discussed?
2. Name two instances where you wondered about the scientific accuracy.
3. Find a science consultant (an actual scientist like a professor, researcher, museum curator, etc.) who you would contact to provide more credibility to the instances listed in #2.
a) Provide his or her credentials (degree, university)
b) Explain why he or she is the right person for the job
c) What specific question(s) would you ask him or her about how to best write/shoot/produce that scene?
4. Do you think the filmmakers included too little, just enough, or too much scientific content (terminology, theory, visuals, etc) and why?

Here is two presentation what we studies at class, they might help you to identify science weve learnt in class.

Discuss Morphology of cells and the factor it plays in general function and structure. Also, choose a condition from the following, Downs Syndrome Kleinfleters, Sickle Cell Disease, Chronic Myleoid Leukemia and discuss how cell morphology affects these conditions.

Discuss the difference between various cells and the role these cells play in specific disease processes.

Discuss the differential diagnosis (DD) process. Identify 3 different DD processes used in clinical practice.  In medicine, a differential diagnosis is the distinguishing of a particular disease or condition from others that present similar clinical features. Differential diagnostic procedures are used by physicians and other trained medical professionals to diagnose the specific disease in a patient, or, at least, to eliminate any imminently life-threatening conditions. Often, each individual option of a possible disease is called a differential diagnosis.

Describe the risks/benefits of these 3 processes.

Responses to students should include an example of when the student identifies one of the differential diagnosis processes used in the clinical setting.

The UW Master of Science in Data Science program places a premium on strong communication skills. In addition to excellent quantitative abilities, good data scientists must be able to communicate their findings in a way that makes them meaningful to a non-technical audience.
Show us an example of data communication and explain why you think it is great. It could be a static or interactive data visualization, a piece of data journalism, a data sonification, or a video infographic. Why did you choose this example? How would you improve it?
You can select from one of the examples below or you can feel free to select your own example to write about in your response. If you choose your own example, please upload one document that includes your essay response as well as a URL link to the data communication. Examples must be in English. Please limit your response to 500 words.

Question 1

(2 paragraph minimum) Identify 1 person who have contributed to the field of Psychology and list his/her contribution to the field

Question 2
Everyone has his or her own personal beliefs about “the way people are” or “what makes people tick.”  For example, you might believe that men are better than women at math and that this difference results from the way girls are treated in schools.  You might believe that depression is the result of stressful life experiences.
Alternatively, you may simply be puzzled by certain aspects of human behavior and not really have an explanation for it.  For example, why is it that such deep divisions exist between various ethnic groups?  Why is it sometimes so difficult to remember people’s names?
List five “theories” (beliefs or hunches) that you have about people’s behavior and five things about human behavior that puzzle you.

Please respond to the following: Brand Design Model, Brand Portfolio Molecule, and Brand Report Card

Evaluate the value of assigning appropriate brand identities to represent health care goods, services, and institutions. Provide support for your rationale.
Assess the value of Calder and Reagans Brand Design Model as a device for systematically guiding health care marketers through the process of formulating brands. Explain one (1) reason why a SWOT analysis is needed to help health care organizations understand competitor brands. Provide two (2) examples from a health care organization with which you are familiar that support the value of Calder and Reagans Brand Design Model.
Explain the fundamental reasons why brands do not exist in isolation but do exist in larger environments that include other brands. Provide two (2) specific recommendations or solutions that can help a health care facility improve patient satisfaction.
Assess the value of Lederer and Hills Brand Portfolio Molecule when used to understand brand relationships. Provide at least two (2) specific examples of strategic or tactical initiatives within a health care organization.

The problem itself is “misunderstandings in friendships”, it is an ill-defined problem.
There are four stages to solve the problem:

A. Defining/redefining the problem- I need a dunker diagram for this stage. Define the problem with the dunker diagram and then redefine the problem with a new statement after the diagram

B. Generating solutions-At the stage, use brainstorming techniques such as vertical thinking or lateral thinking

C. Deciding on a course of action- leave this part as it is (KT analysis)

D. Implementation (planning, making a case for the chosen solution). At this stage, use a planning technique such as Gantt chart, Deployment chart, or Budget chart

This is rewriting! The presentation uploaded was done using KT analysis in all of the four stages which is NOT appropriate to do so. **PLEASE follow the instructions above carefully**
