In the mode of Augustines Confessions, write an approximately 250-word prayer of confession honestly acknowledging the way this weeks learning has shaped and formed your understanding of Christian theology and its implications for ministry.

Use the following as an example:

Dear Lord, the more that is revealed to me of your nature and your actions, the more that I am reminded that You have given me so much more than I deserve. You never demanded that I follow you, but you never removed yourself to a place beyond earshot of my heart. Thank you for forgiving me in previous seasons where I withdrew from your presence and yet you still sought me out. You placed in the depth of my being a desire to love you and worship you, and I thank you for casting the scales from my own eyes to introduce me to your divine gift of grace. Thank you for bringing me to a place where I would be terrified to be outside of your presence.

I used to think that your creation was beautiful, but now viewing it all as some sort of intentional gift multiplies the beauty of it all. I hope I never again view something such as dreary weather as an inconvenience or less than, because I can look to your eternal plan that is so far beyond me, and yet still something that I trust in so firmly continue to let me see how a dreary day of weather in your creation is intentional. Thank you for letting any dreariness or uncertainty that I feel always eventually make way for the sunshine, little by little on this journey throughout your flourishing creation. I want more of your presence and wisdom so that I may continue to go out into your creation and be an agent for your righteousness. Sustain me and teach me, oh Lord.

Thank you for not only offering healing to your creation, God, but truly delivering it, Jesus. In your name, amen.

How Paul in the letters to the churches in the New Testament used some/all of the principles of cultural change. For example, how did Paul relate to people from a different culture than him?  What strategies did he use to be culturally relevant while still remaining true to the gospel?  How does your understanding of this relate to consulting?

Use at least 3 peer reviewed or books as references.

write a review paper on Nancey C. Murphy, Reasoning & Rhetoric in Religion (Valley Forge, Pennsylvania: Trinity Press International, 1994). Questions addressed in the reviews will include:
What were some new insights you gained from this book? (please note: we can always learn something even if the material has been reviewed before.  It is not acceptable to see you learned nothing, even if you have points of disagreement with the author.)
What were some places where the book reviewed and affirmed material you already knew?
What questions did it raise and were there any points of disagreement?
How can you apply your learning to your Christian walk, church or ministry setting?
Please answer each of the above questions in a subheading.

n reaction to the article on “Incarnational Apologetics” and Chapters 14 16, and 22 from the Everyday Series: Evangelism book, how does the information impact the way you will embrace evangelism in your daily life moving forward? How will you balance “incarnational” and “informational” approaches to evangelism? Do you believe there is a connection? You might also consider . . . do your struggle relating to people on an “incarnational” level when it comes to evangelism; or are you afraid of “informational” approaches to evangelism, etc.? In light of all of this, how do the three Vs (Vulnerable, Visual, Verbal), Servant Evangelism (which is more incarnational), and Share Jesus Without Fear (which is more informational)  come into play as far as how you might approach evangelism in the future?  Be VERY thorough, please address all of the readings, and be honest with your classmates!  (450 words minimum)

1.  How do actively practicing Buddhists view and interact with local gods and non-Buddhist religious practices, such as the nats (spirits) and site/soil protectors of Thai local religion? As you reflect on this question, be sure to take into account such things as the Buddhist six realms and concept of the Indian devas or gods, the  Buddhas interactions with other religious teachers and Indian gods and spirits (as described in the story of the Buddha), and the concept of the Buddhist path.

2. Apart from entrenched cultural attitudes (e.g., misogyny), what are the reasons offered by the contemporary monastic Buddhist Sangha for resisting the [re-]ordination of full bhiksunis or Buddhist nuns? How have Buddhist women in Theravada countries sought to get around that impasse, embrace distinctive lifestyles akin to that of Buddhist bhiksuni (full nuns) or seek and manage to gain full ordination? How have the monastic Sangha, regional states, and Buddhists at large responded?
