1) As with all other assignments in this class, this exercise has a word limit. Your entire post must be 75 words + a single word title. Your post will be 76 words total.

2) Your title will announce the topic of your post. Your topic must be a noun – a person, place, or thing – that you encounter or engage with on the day that you write your post. An exception to the one word rule will be made if your noun is something like, for instance, Mr. Robot.

3) Mr. Robot cannot be the subject of your post.

4) Your topic cannot be yourself, your family members, friends, pets, or any other subject about which you have already written in this class or plan to write about for the final project.

5) Your post must consist of 5 sentences of 15 words each (75 words total).

6) All five sentences must be about the word you have selected for your title. None of your sentences can include the word that is the title of your post.

7) Two of your sentences must be empirically verifiable statements. One of your sentences must be either a value claim or an interpretative claim. One of your sentences must be in the future tense.

8) The middle of your third sentence must be a short direct quote seamlessly integrated into the sentence. The full citation you provide at the end of your post will not count against your 76 words.

9) The text that you quote must be from the year in which you were born (i.e., it must have been originally published that year, so no re-prints of Plato!).

10) The first word of your post (after your title) and last word of your post must be the same word. Five points extra credit if the two words are homonyms (Links to an external site.).
