These past few weeks, the readings discussed the history of School Psychology, the trends of school psychologists, as well as professional development and credentialing. The field of School Psychology is dominated by European American individuals and there is a current shortage of school psychologists in the field and in academic positions. From your readings, you can see that the field has been around for some time and there are many established training programs readily available. Why do you feel that people do not know about the field of School Psychology? How do we encourage more people to get into the field?  How do we help educate people about the field of school psychology?  How do we specifically recruit people who are traditionally not school psychologists (men, ethnic minorities, linguistically diverse individuals)?
