Functional Area Paper

For this paper, you are going to expand on Journal of Accounting: The real effects of financial reporting and disclosure (e.g. on firm behavior).

You will choose one of the topics from discussion forums 1-4 and elaborate on the current trend in this area.

Be sure to include the complete title – Research Priority: Title of paper (topic selected).

The following is an Example of how to write the title of your paper:

Journal of Accounting: The real effects of financial reporting and disclosure

Your paper must follow APA 7th edition Professional Format EXCEPT (do not include the authors note on the first page:

Title Page. This includes 3 lines centered on the page in the middle with the following: Title of paper, Your full name, University Affiliation.

Abstract. The Heading will be Abstract (centered on the page).

The Abstract is in block style.

Introduction (use the Title of the paper) as the Heading for this section (centered). Under the title of the paper, you will introduce the topic and discuss a historical definition based on literature. (Be reminded, APA 7th Edition does NOT allow the use of the word “Introduction” as a heading.

Literature Review. The Heading will be Literature Review (Left justified).

Discussion/Conclusion of the current research in the field (last 5 years only). The Heading will be Discussion/Conclusion (Left justified).

Future Research Questions that need to be addressed and/or explored in research. The Heading will be Future Research Questions (Left justified).

Reference page. The Heading will be References (centered on the page).
