As a final assignment, the student will be asked to carry out a study on a specific company, chosen from the FTSE100 stock index. It must be an original piece of work, which should be understood as consultancy report. The application of the concepts discussed in class to the real issues observed in the company must be shown and presented in the format of an executive report (max 1.500 words you can hand in less, but anything above will not be reviewed). This should address the following points:

The firms general stance: description of the position of the firm regarding ethics and corporate social responsibility.
The analysis of its CSR report, if published. Which points are included? How much information is provided? Is it relevant and trustworthy? Which points are missing?
Any scandals or unethical behavior registered in the past. Description of the event, what caused it and how the company reacted.
Its code of ethics, if available. How is it formulated? Offer a critical analysis.
Its leaders behavior. Do the leaders inspire the rest of the employees to behave ethically?
Recommendations for improvement.
Since this is an executive report, the information must be summarized very much. Only the essential pieces of information should be included and no unnecessary descriptions should extend the length of the text without adding value. In this sense, the capability of condensing relevant information and transmitting it fluidly will be essential. From the report, it should become evident that the student dominates the concepts discussed in the sessions and is able to confront a real business. He/She should present a report, which could easily be forwarded to the management team of the firm being analyzed and serve as a diagnosis of their position in regards to Business Ethics.

A Literacy Narrative is a story about your experiences with literacy. When we talk about literacy here we are not just talking about reading but also writing. Think of this as an opportunity to tell me something a story about a significant event regarding reading or writing in your life. This event does not need to be school related but could be something that happened at home or work.
Choose one event that was memorable for you regarding a reading or writing experience. In a three-page essay, explain that event to me. Just like in all stories, you want to be as descriptive as possible relating everything you can remember about the eventwhen, location, who was there, what happened. The dissertation needs to include some sort of data collection, either qualitative or quantitative. So far, I opted for a qualitative research method of data collection which consists in adapting an existent experiment without the use of technology and comparing the results. However, I am not sure and still working on it.

I have also attached a document containing an initial plan I drafter, as well as a draft of my introduction, a plan for my literature review and other additional info. However, these are all just drafts and ideas. Any recommendation for changes is more than appreciated.

The file s81170-cipher.bin contains data encrypted using the ARIA-128-CBC method.

First decrypt data in the file s81170-cipheredkey.bin. They were encrypted with RSA and can be decrypted with the function RSA_private_decrypt (). Optimal asymmetric encryption padding was used. You must therefore specify RSA_PKCS1_OAEP_PADDING as a parameter. You can work with the function PEM_read_PrivateKey () from the file rsakey.pem.

Now decrypt the data in the file s81170-cipher.bin. The type of the ARIA-128-CBC procedure is returned by the EVP_aria_128_cbc () function in libcrypto. Using the key parameter (key, possibly initialization vector, in this sequence), you have decrypted in the last step. The length of the required parameters can be determined from the type with the functions EVP_CIPHER_key_length () and EVP_CIPHER_iv_length ().

Encrypt the plain text with the cipher CAST5-CFB, the type of which returns the function EVP_cast5_cfb64 (). Using the key parameters (key, possibly initialization vector, in this sequence), the in immediate sequence in the file s81170-key.bin existing.
Save the encrypted data in a file called s81170-result.bin.

Please limit yourself to a source code file s81170.c

Preparedness Process
Crisis management deals with how an organization overall responds to events that are quick in nature, threaten to damage, and surprise.  Preparedness planning and development will serve to help mitigate crises.

Develop an Organizational Outline

Beginning to apply the preparedness phase includes the development of each phase of a crisis management system. The system used will be the FEMA planning system that includes five steps:

Program Management
Planning
Implementation
Testing and Exercises
Program Improvement
In the exercise, an organization will be selected and a planning framework developed for the organization. This exercise joins SLPs 1, 2, and 3 and will be used for the final paper in the Module 4 SLP.

Select an organization and briefly describe (i.e., mission, industry, size, and number of personnel).Note: The organization chosen needs to have enough available information to be able to address question 2.
Briefly address a framework in each of the phases by using the FEMA planning system guidance identified in the readings.  This framework is the brief plan that is specific to the chosen organization (note this will be used to support a further analysis to be completed in the next module where planning will be considered in more detail). In the framework, provide brief descriptions on the general plan to satisfy the phases using the general guidance provided by FEMA. Use headers or titles in the paper. Note: You are not expected to construct a comprehensive planning framework; you will be graded on the quality of submission.
The brief plan should consider the following steps:

Program Management
Preparedness Policy
Program Committee and Program Coordinator
Program Administration
Planning
Risk Assessment
Business Impact Analysis
Hazard Prevention and Deterrence
Risk Mitigation
Implementation
Resource Management
Specific Plans
Employee Assistance & Support
Incident Management
Training
Testing & Exercises
Program Improvement
Reviews and Corrective Actions

Crises can surface at any time and with little or no notice.  Analyzing historical cases on successful and unsuccessful case studies can identify common threads that are useful for crisis management program improvement.

This exercise will allow an opportunity to analyze a major crisis and the impact on a community, a nation or the world considering crisis management.

Describe and assess a recent major crisis

Discuss the following for the crisis situation:

What was the threat or hazard to the organization?
If any, what was the element of surprise?
In leadership and decision-making, what was the quick timeline of events and decisions to be made?
What were some examples of successful decision-making?
What were some examples of unsuccessful decision-making?
What changes resulted or should be considered?
