This will be a continuation of the outline I requested earlier today.

Must include a separate title page (or slide) with the following:

* Must begin with an introductory paragraph (or slide) that has a succinct thesis statement.
* Must explain the changes that occurred for this group from 1877 to the present, including the challenges and achievements that are a part of that groups history.
* Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
* Must use at least two primary sources and at least two scholarly secondary sources from the Ashford Library (textbooks, encyclopedia articles, and popular websites are not scholarly sources). The Scholarly, Peer-Reviewed, and Other Credible Sources (Links to an external site.) table offers additional guidance on appropriate source types.
* Must document all sources, including images, in APA style
* Must include a separate reference page that is formatted according to APA style

To complete your Final Project:

1. Select your group (choose one):

Immigrants

2. Describe your four events:

Describe four specific events or developments that span the years from 1877 to the present, based on their impact on the group. Two of the events must be from before 1945 and two events must be from after 1945. Refer back to your Week 3 Assignment, consider your instructors comments, and make any necessary revisions to your selected events or developments.

3. Research your group’s history and events.

In addition to your course textbook, you must use at least two primary sources and at least two scholarly secondary sources from the Ashford Library. Your sources should match your events and contribute towards a cohesive historical analysis. Refer back to your Week 3 Assignment, consider your instructors comments, and make any necessary revisions to your sources.

4. Create a thesis.

Your thesis should summarize the main conclusions that you discovered while researching your group and that you will support with a logical argument based on evidence (sources). Refer back to your Week 3 Assignment, consider your instructors comments, and make any necessary revisions to your thesis statement.

5. Develop your main points.

Drawing from your textbook and your research, examine your four events to explain the changes that occurred for your chosen group from 1877 to the present, including the challenges and achievements that are a part of that groups history. Connect each of your selected events or developments back to your main thesis. The information presented must be organized and connected in chronological order.
For example, a student writing a paper about the topic African Americans might choose the Harlem Renaissance and the Black Power Movement as two of their events. In that case, the paper would provide a description of the two movements. It would explain what each one revealed about the role of African Americans in broader American society in, respectively, the 1920s and the late 1960s, explain how and why the roles of African Americans in the 1920s differed from their roles in the late 1960s, and explain how events in the 1920s may have contributed to developments in the later decade.

6. Add an introduction and conclusion.

Add an introductory paragraph or slide at the beginning of your project which introduces the history of your group and includes your thesis statement. At the end of the project, add a concluding paragraph or slide which reaffirms your projects findings and thesis.

For this assignment, students will write an evaluative essay comparing two media. You’ll use the short story “The bear came over the mountain” (Munro, 2013) and the film Away from Her (Egoyan et al., 2006). You will begin working on this assignment (reading, viewing, drafting) in Unit four, but submit the initial draft of the paper in Unit Five.

You will evaluate two main components:

Does the film accurately depict the short story?
Do the film and the short story accurately portray Alzheimer’s?
Provide evidence from both the film and the story.

For this essay, the short story is the source material. You are going to evaluate how well the film stands up to the short story. First, you must establish the criteria. What makes the short story successful?  You want to think about this very carefully as you read and make notes. Notice elements of plot, structure, character, and point of view. You’ll write about these in the first section of your paper.

This essay should:

have specific criteria, using the short story as source material
use that criterion to make judgments about the film
support the judgment with evidence from the text and film
    be 1000 words long
have an explicit thesis statement, with the main idea (the topic of the paper) and a controlling idea (what you, as the author, is saying about the topic)
In this case, we’re making a judgment, and that should be included in the thesis.  Remember — this judgment is not about the film or text is good or bad. It’s about whether or not the film lives up to the criteria established in the short story.
include an integrated, direct quote from the text/film to support the thesis in each of the body paragraphs
    be written using APA formatting
use APA guidelines for citation, both in-text and on a References page
avoid using 1st- or 2nd-person references (focus on objective 3rd-person references instead)
be submitted as a MS Word .docx file

Assignment Content

Write a minimum of 2 pages for the Tactics and Implementation portions for your Marketing Plan (See attached Marketing Plan Template) to address the situation in the attached case study.

For Tactics:

1. Product and service explain any changes you will make to the product, or in this case, the services. Be specific about new services, ending other services, etc.

2. Explain any actions you will take to improve the brand image in the eyes of the specific target market. Provide some details about the actions to be taken, and why they will succeed.

3. Explain any changes you will make to the price of the services. Will anything increase, decrease, or remain the same? Explain your reasoning.

4. Will you provide any incentives to attract new patients? What could the pros and cons of those incentives be? Will you use incentives to attract new doctors? Keep in mind that you cannot throw money at every problem.

2. The business process explain the impact of any of your changes on these items. For example, if you provide incentives to attract new doctors, how will that affect your resource management? Money is one of your resources. Describe the impact on any that are significantly affected.

3. Schedule – provide a specific schedule for the major changes you will make. You can use dates, or use measures of time, such as three weeks, two months, etc. Keep it realistic.

Cite at least 3 reputable references in APA format to support your assignment (e.g., trade or industry publications, government or agency websites, scholarly works, or other sources of similar quality).

Over the last six modules, you built toward this culminating moment: the submission of your final project. This week you will be drafting a research paper of 6-7 pages (approximately 1500-1750 words) that builds on your previous Milestone work. Use the for an example of how to create and format your final paper.

Begin by reading pages 7.8-7.13 in the webtext before beginning this assignment.

Step 1: Reflect on Previous Milestone Feedback and Make Adjustments

Each week after you submitted a Milestone assignment, your instructor provided you with feedback, often including suggestions for improvement. Take stock of that feedback and incorporate it. This might mean adjusting the wording of your thesis statement, replacing a source, fixing errors in your APA formatting, rewriting your introduction, or rethinking your organization of paragraphs. In addition to your instructors feedback, make sure to use your peers feedback on Milestone 5 as well what suggestions did they have to improve your introduction and outline? Did they understand your argument and if not, how can you communicate it more clearly?

Step 2: Use Your Outline to Draft Your Paper

Using your Milestone 5 outline, begin to flesh out each of your body paragraphs by adding evidence from your sources that support your thesis (along with proper in-text citations for ideas or quotes from your sources). Make sure to include transitions between paragraphs and wrap up your paper with a conclusion paragraph that reiterates your thesis argument and offers some concluding thoughts.

Step 3: Review and Edit Your Work

Once you have a full draft written, make sure to re-read it carefully with an eye on the details like spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence clarity, and word choice. Go back to the Writing Refresher section of the course for help with any weak areas of your writing. Try reading it aloud to catch errors you might otherwise miss in print.

Step 4: Submit to the Canvas and Review Your Turnitin Report. Make Changes If Needed and Resubmit.

As you learned in Module 4, Excelsior uses in the Canvas dropbox as a learning tool for students. Plan to submit to the dropbox a few days early if you can so you have time to review your Turnitin report and similarity score. If your score comes back high, revise your content to make sure you are using original writing, citing ideas from others, and properly putting the exact words of others in quotation marks.
