Prompt:

God has given each Christian two vitally important gifts. The first is the gift of faith in Jesus Christ, his work of redemption, and thus forgiveness of sin. The second is the gift of one or more special abilities, which are to be used for the purpose of unifying the body of Christ and for the growth of God’s Kingdom. These abilities are called spiritual gifts and they are received through our baptism.

The Spiritual Gifts Assessment helps individuals identify their God-given gifts for living faithfully as Christian disciples day by day and find meaningful ways to use their gifts in connection with others through the community of faith. The process helps people understand the nature of spiritual gifts and ways to enhance the effectiveness of their gifts by linking together with others.

Romans 12:3 states, For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

1 Corinthians 12:4 states, There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.

Exploring and exercising your spiritual gifting is a vital and exciting part of your spiritual journey. The link below offers a tool to help you discern the spiritual gifts God has given you.

List and describe your top five spiritual gifts? Which gifts are task oriented and help with productivity?  Which gifts contribute to the socio-emotional well-being of the team and its members? How can you use these gifts to develop and contribute to effective teamwork? Now, taking a deeper look, examine if your spiritual gifts can contribute to either building teamwork or competent leadership (as defined in chapter 7). Explain.
