Then, consider the ideas in this week’s textbook reader to analyze the video’s argument, “pointing out the claims . . . (it) . . . makes (or implies) and then by identifying the ways it supports them verbally and/or visually” (Lunsford & Ruszkiewicz 349).

Your task here is to interpret the argument you think this video is making, NOT to give your opinion on the events depicted. Try to be objective.

Read “The Power of Visual Arguments” in the textbook Everything’s an Argument, beginning on page 347. Apply the ideas of verbal vs visual arguments to this video.

Last, read through your classmates’ responses. Look for one that offers a different analysis of the same visual and/or verbal elements. Do you find different arguments in the video? How could you combine your reading with that of a classmate?
