Submit your voiceover PowerPoint presentation, ( topic chosen, a social demographic that might arise in, affect, the criminal justice system) which deals with a social demographic that you think may have a significant impact on the criminal justice system, in the appropriate drop box.

Voiceover PowerPoint Presentation guidelines:

For your 1215 slide voiceover PowerPoint presentation, choose a social demographic or diversity issue that you think may have a significant impact on the criminal justice system. As indicated in the Module 7 notes and the Module 8 notes, race is generally considered an issue in this realm. However, do you see any other demographic that may have an effect, cause a dilemma, or be the foundation for policy or procedural change? Age, ethnicity, religion, culture, SES, educational level, physical/mental ability (disability), are variables you may want to consider.

Discuss how the demographic selected relates to policy/procedural change. What is the impact on the criminal justice system?

Submit an annotated bibliography upon which your voiceover PowerPoint presentation is to be based. This will act as the foundation of your research and guide your presentation. Annotated bibliographies also gather the reference materials and help summarize the articles, books, etc. you will be using in your presentation.

Submit an annotated bibliography with at least seven (7) valid sources that you will use as the basis for your presentation

Begin your voiceover PowerPoint presentation by choosing a demographic or diversity issue that might arise in, or affect, the criminal justice system. This will be the foundation for your presentation, which is due in Module 8.

Write an introduction to the demographic or diversity issue of your choice. Explain why you consider this important as it relates to the criminal justice system. Perhaps provide an example to guide your instructor in understanding your rationale for this choice. Submit an MSWord document of 250 words.

Introduction
In this activity, you answer a discussion question based upon the article, Examining the Effect of Selected Demographic Characteristics on Crime-Reporting Behavior. To satisfactorily participate in this discussion, you will need to do some research of your own about crime victimization, as well.

Discussion Question
In the assigned reading, you examined the discussion of crime reporting. What demographic characteristic do you think has the greatest influence on crime victimization? Is it age, race, ethnicity, religion, etc? Why do you think that is? Are there statistics to confirm this?  Give an example and provide citations and references to support your position.
Your initial post must be at least 200250 words with references and citations.

In a 57 page paper (12501750 words),(with the chosen topic 3 an ethical dilemma )choose and analyze an ethical decision situation within the criminal justice system that you think needs to be addressed. For instance, a judge might have to release a serious felon based upon technicalities that have arisen in a court case. Although the judge knows this person is guilty based upon impeccable evidence, the law dictates the judge must dismiss the case. What should the judge do? Override the system and invoke their power as a judge to continue the trial? Release the person? These dilemmas arise regularly in police agencies, courts and prisons.

Write an introduction to the issue. You then need to think about who it involves, who it affects, the various models of ethics that may come into play to justify a decision, and ultimately your position on the decision. What would be your decision? How would you decide and why? Write a brief summary of your ethical situation and decision-making process to close the paper. 

Make sure you use citations and references to support any opinions you posit or statements you make.
