be interesting and non-trivial.

Plan for the paper: Here you should simply summarize how you plan on arguing for your thesis statement.

Background for the thesis: explain what your thesis means (which includes defining terms and clarifying concepts), what its implications are, why the issue is so important, etc.

Argument supporting the thesis: you should devote a paragraph to each premise of your argument, explaining the premise and showing what role it plays in your argument. (Keep in mind: some premises may be so obvious that they do not require support. If your reader is likely to question a premise, then you should back your premise up).

Assessment of objections: make a sincere effort to take into account at least one objection or doubt that a reader might be likely to have about your argument. You should aim to respond to the objection in a satisfactory way. If you discover that you cannot respond to the objection, then you may need to abandon your thesis altogether.

Conclusion: briefly summarize what you have done in the pap

The assignment is based on a client that you have worked with in any stage of change related to addictive behaviors, these can include: alcohol, drugs, sex, eating, gambling, videogames, social media, etc. You may also use a client who does not directly struggle with addictive behaviors but has been impacted by someone elses addiction. Using the lectures, readings, and any video clips provided, compare the various styles of classical Egyptian and Amarna art. Include details of how their art varied in style and why–be specific. Support your essay with at least two citations from the provided sources in the course. This does not just mean including a work cited page at the end. It means that you must implement material from the sources into your essay to support your argument. This can be done through paraphrasing and then citing or direct quotation and then citing. This will be a requirement for ALL essays. If you do not support your essay with in-text citations, your paper will be severely penalized.

Also, for short essays, do not use long quotes. Keep your in-text citation to around a sentence. If it is longer, paraphrase.

Make sure you cite correctly using MLA, APA or Chicago/Turabian.

Must be no longer than 500 words. If you go over, you will be penalized.

Lifelong learning is an important endeavor in any field and has been linked to a number of positive health outcomes. For this final Assignment, you will have an opportunity to expand your learning again by considering how you would develop personal competencies related to two leadership trends discussed this week.

To Prepare:

  • Reflect on the Discussion from this week about trends in leadership. Select two leadership trends of relevance to your career path.
  • Review your Learning Development Plan from Week 4. Consider your strengths and limitations in relation to both trends.
  • Using what you have learned about leader development and coaching, think about how you will further develop your strengths and address your limitations.

Using the following guidelines, write an analysis of how well or poorly Singleterry presented his argument.  In other words, you are arguing that the editorial was well written or poorly written, or a mixture of both.
In an analysis you are not telling the reader about the main viewpoints of the author or what the writing is about; instead, you are examining the structure and the details of the writing. You break the story into smaller parts to understand it better. Do not express your opinion about the subject discussed in the paper. You can ONLY give your opinion on how well the author did to convince the reader of his/her argument.

The first paragraph should be the introductory paragraph and it should include the TITLE, AUTHOR’S NAME, and PUBLICATION details. Begin with the short SUMMARY of the paper (which you’ve already written for the summary assignment regarding the same article).  You can also give the reader some background information on the subject being discussed in the writing and then give the thesis statement of the author’s paper. In other words, what point is the author arguing.  End this first paragraph with your THESIS STATEMENT on well or poorly you believe the author gets his point across.

In your analysis paper, you should address the main argument the author is making and how well he/she supports the argument. The other factor to address is how reliable are the sources, and the authority that the author cites to make the argument strong. An analysis paper can also include the strengths and weaknesses of the paper and how they affect the argument being made by the author. You should also examine the tools like statistics, examples or citing of an authority to analyze the authors reasoning for writing the paper. The other points one could address in an analysis paper are does the author address the oppositions view point and does he/she attempt to refute it. Again, DO NOT express your opinion about the subject discussed in the author’s paper/argument.  You can only give your opinion on how well the author did to convince the reader.
