Activity:
focuses on the design of forms, reports, and dialogues. Chapter 10 introduces students to the process of designing forms and reports. Form and report design is a key ingredient for successful systems because users often equate the quality of a system to the quality of its input and output methods. A key to designing usable forms and reports is consistency. The deliverable from this design process is a specification that has three sections: a narrative overview explaining the need for and use of the form or report, a sample design, and all testing and usability assessment information. Understanding that individuals who design a form or report may not be the individuals responsible for implementing it underscores the need for complete design specifications.

Next, chapter 11 introduces students to the process of designing interfaces and dialogues. The content of this chapter naturally extends the topics presented in Chapter 10, which means that the guidelines for designing forms and reports also apply to the design of human-computer interfaces. Additionally, form and report design and interface and dialogue design have similar processes and deliverables. Chapter 11 provides a review of human-computer interaction methods and devices. Menu and device interaction, designing layouts, structuring data entry, controlling data input, providing feedback, and providing user help are discussed.

This research paper allows you to showcase what you have learned from this course within an organization of your choice. Also, it is a chance to use theories gained from the coursework and show how to apply these to an organization to improve effectiveness.

You are to consider yourself a consultant that was just hired by organizational leadershipit does not matter if it is a private or public organizationto assist with a lingering problem that has impacted the organizations effectiveness. This problem can be related to an area that you want to research and interests you; e.g., employees upset over anticipated change, performance evaluations being over-inflated, unethical practices, leadership not considering personal choices in the decision-making process, or any other similar problems. Once you identify the organizational problem, you should develop a plan to address the problem, identify reasons why you feel the problem occurred, label reasons you feel the problem is persistent, and develop a means to overcome the problem. Also, integrate a long-term plan to ensure this problem does not happen again or at least is minimized.

You should consider all the main topics, readings, and discussions you have encountered throughout the course. This paper is a critical part of the class and should not be developed at the last minute.

This paper is to be 810 pages long. No more than 15% of your paper should be from direct quotes. No references can be listed on the reference page that do not first appear in the text of your paper. There should be a minimum of 6-8 peer-reviewed journal articles no older than five years old that provide support for the research. This page count does not include the title page, abstract, tables, graphics, and reference pages. The current edition of the APA is the guiding manual for form and style for this project. Each student is expected to find relevant, recent, and credible research. Under no circumstances will references from dictionaries or encyclopedias be accepted as references, including online sources such as Wikipedia.

Assignment:

The planning director for the State Department of Juvenile Justice has asked for your advice on how to reduce the threat of chronic offenders. Some of the more conservative members of her staff seem to believe that these kids need a strict dose of rough justice if they are to be turned away from a life of crime. They believe juvenile delinquents who are punished harshly are less likely to recidivate than youths who receive lesser punishments, such as community corrections or probation. In addition, they believe that hardcore, violent offenders deserve to be punished; excessive concern for offenders and not their acts ignore the rights of victims and society in general. The planning director is unsure whether such an approach is ethical. Is it ethical to use tough punishment with kids because it may produce deviant identities that lock kids into a criminal way of life? She is concerned that a strategy stressing punishment is not only unethical, but it will have relatively little impact on chronic offenders and, if anything, may cause escalation in serious criminal behaviors.

The director has asked you for your professional advice on this ethical dilemma. Write a two-page memorandum: On the one hand, the system must be sensitive to the adverse effects of stigma and labeling. On the other hand, the need for control and deterrence must not be ignored. Is it possible to reconcile these two opposing views? Do you believe that the current methods of deterrence are working? Does the fear of the death penalty stop individuals from committing these crimes? What do you believe would be a better way to deter people from committing crimes? Be sure to research the topic and cite sources to support your views.

Please complete this assignment in Microsoft Word then submit it through Blackboard. This assignment must be two (2) pages in length (this does NOT include the reference page). Please 12-point Times New Roman font.

The idea of an Industrial Revolution is a hotly debated concept among historians. Part of the argument against its usage is that it both implies a rapid, sharp historical break and a single model. Neither really help us understand the diverse ways in which economies industrialized. A major theme in Unit 5 is the diverse ways in which national economies industrialized and modernized. Britain was the first and others followed, roughly speaking, that model, but they did so on their own terms.

Task:

Compare and contrast the British experience of industrialization with at least one other national economy discussed in Unit 5 (Germany, United States, Russia, Japan). Your response should address the following questions:

What role did the nation-state play in the industrialization process?
a. What role, if any, did empire-building play in the industrialization process?
When did industrialization take place?
How long was the process?
What technologies and ideologies helped shape the process of industrialization?

The goal of this assignment is to give you some practice in writing a short formal analysis of a single work of art, in preparation for the final paper assignment.  Read the “Formal Analysis Assignment” pdf posted here for the complete directions…

FIRST, choose ONE of the artworks provided the “Formal Analysis Assignment” pdf

SECOND, read (or re-read) dAllevas chapter on Formal Analysis (pdf attached)  Also study the pdf posted here titled “Example of a Formal Analysis_Heda”

THIRD, write a 500 word (2-page) formal analysis of the work. Imagine that you are writing a museum label that will be read by members of the public. Your writing must be clear and well-organized.

You are an attorney who represents Joey Maltese. Joey has been charged with six counts of tax fraud and six counts of tax evasion, embezzlement, and conspiracy to commit murder. The prosecutors in Joeys case contend that Joey poses a threat to public safety. They filed a motion seeking to have Joey held without granting bail pending trial. You conduct a little legal research as follows to see if prosecutors will be successful on their motion:

Please read the Syllabus portion of United States v. Salerno, 481 U.S. 739 (1987); https://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/481/739. Pay particular attention to the Bail Reform Act of 1984. Discuss its provisions.
Discuss how the Risk-Needs Assessment (RNA) is used in making determinations about granting bail. Lay out the factors that work for or against Joey. In other words, create a fictional actuarial instrument for your client based on objective criteria. Discuss, too, how much risk Joey poses to the community. Please read the following article as well, which will also help you in preparing your analysis: https://www.ca.gov/archive/gov39/2018/08/28/governor-brown-signs-legislation-to-revamp-californias-bail-system-protect-public-safety/index.html
Explain what the U.S. Supreme Court said in United States v. Salerno regarding whether the Eighth Amendment requires release on bail.

I need to write a research paper that we have been working on it since 1 year. Actually it must be in german but in english is also ok. We have been researched on how effect anatomical and external reference rahmens the Tactile Mapping and which one is responsible for the conflict known as `crossing effect`, anatomical or external reference frames? and because of which plane occurs that Effect stimulusplane or response plane?

“To act upon a tactile stimulus its original skinbased, anatomical spatial code has to be transformed into an external, posture-dependent reference frame, a process known as tactile remapping. When the limbs are crossed, anatomical and external location codes are in conflict, leading to a decline in tactile localization accuracy. It is unknown whether this impairment originates from the integration of the resulting external localization response with the original, anatomical one or from a failure of tactile remapping in crossed postures. “

Its been put stimulators to vibrate either on hands or on feet; and buttons to answer on hands or feet as quickly as possible. it`s been measured reaction time in 4 conditions; each group research only one condition:

-Anatomical response- (test person must response with the extremity at the same anatomical left or right side)

—Hand stimuliert, foot response
—Foot stimuliert, hand response

-Enternal response ( test person must response with response with the extremity that he feels at the same room side)

—Hand stimuliert,foot response
—Foot stimuliert, hand response

I must write a paper about : Anatomical response- Hand stimuliert, foot response

In 4 different position is measured: when hands and feet are crossed, when both are uncrossed, when hands are crossed, feet are uncrossed, when feet are crossed, hands are uncrossed.

I have literatur to citiate, have the results from Anova(R) that i dont understand any words or signs, have our Poster that explains what we have done but in german- i can translate it if a translator couldnt-.
