Part 2: Risk Register

You will use the attached risk register to report the results of your risk analysis and to guide your risk analysis. To complete the risk register, you will need to complete the following steps:
Identify at least 12 to 15 risks. Write a clear risk statement for each risk based on the template given in the lecture. If clear risk statements are not written for each risk, your grade will be greatly reduced.
Perform qualitative analysis on all risks, creating a probability and impact matrix similar to one in either the reading or the lecture
Perform quantitative analysis using Expected Monetary Value on at least 8 risks; you may use the example templates covered in the lecture to support this analysis, or one from the reading or a past course
Identify the risk response type and provide a description of the risk response plan
Assign a person responsible for monitoring each risk and implementing the risk response plan
Please note that the risk register is not your risk management plan. This is your risk statement, includes the analysis of each risk, identifies the owner and triggers, defines the risk response strategy and the contingency plan for each risk.  It is prepared using the guidelines in the Risk Management Plan as the approach.

It comes with template to complete. This is an annotated bibliography. Must follow and answer questions on the template and instructions.

Find Two Appropriate Non-Scholarly Sources Using a Search Engine such as Google or Bing

Locate the search terms you developed in Week 3. Use them and a search engine (like Google or Bing) to find two non-scholarly sources that address your research question. In order to be appropriate, these sources must pass the CRAAP test.

The non-scholarly source may be any of these types of sources:

A newspaper or magazine article (not an editorial).
An article from a professional organization website or trade journal (e.g., science, medical, etc.).
An article or report from a .gov website.
A blog post written by an expert on the topic.
The non-scholarly source may not be

A book or book chapter.
A scholarly article.
A reference source (e.g., encyclopedia, almanac, dictionary).
Be sure to copy and record the URL (web address) of the non-scholarly sources that you choose so you can include it in your reference.

Create APA References for the Two Non-Scholarly Sources

Remember what you learned about how to format references in the APA Skill Check (Links to an external site.) on creating references. Then, create the APA references for both sources in the All Sources Annotated Bibliography template. Check your references using the Ashford Writing Centers Formatting Your References List (Links to an external site.) to ensure they are correct. Also, you may view the Week 5 Annotated Bibliography Example to review correct format.

Write Annotations for the Two Non-Scholarly Sources

Now, you will write annotation for the two sources. The annotations must be in your own words, two paragraphs long, and address the points below. Provide brief descriptions, explanations or examples to support your answers.

Paragraph 1:

What kind of source is this?
What is the thesis or main claim of the source?
What evidence or claims does the source present in support of the thesis? Present at least two examples of support the source uses.
What other important claims does the source make?
Paragraph 2: Evaluate

How adequately does the source support its thesis?
How current is the information in the source relative to your research question?
How credible and authoritative is the source for your research question?
What limitations, if any, did you note in the source?
How does the source help answer your research question?
Include references and annotations for sources from Week 3

Review the feedback from your instructor on your Week 3 Assignment.  Make any revisions or corrections you think will improve your submission.  Insert the revised references and annotations into the appropriate sections of your All Sources Annotated Bibliography template.

Instructions for Responses to Classmates Posts

After you have created your initial post, look over the discussion posts of your classmates and give at least three responses to different classmates (one per classmate) as outlined in the Discussion Grading Rubric.

A response posting should be a minimum of one short paragraph. Word totals for these posts should be in the 75150-word range.  The goal of your response posts is to extend discussions already taking place or pose new possibilities or ideas not previously voiced.  Your goal should be to motivate the group discussion and present a creative approach to the topic.  Do not merely agree or disagree, repeating what a classmate stated or what you have already stated.  Explain the why or how with supporting evidence and concepts from the course material.  Include in-text citations and associated reference within a reference list.

Self-Plagiarism

Self-plagiarism is the act of reusing significant, identical, or nearly identical portions of one’s own work.  You cannot re-use any portion of a paper or other graded work that was submitted to another class even if you are retaking this course.  You also will not reuse any portion of previously submitted work in this class.  A zero will be assigned to the assignment if self-plagiarized.  Faculty do not have the discretion to accept self-plagiarized work.

Happy Go Puppies,  a pet services company, has a mission statement that reads, “To provide exceptional in-home pet care.” The mission statement is clear; they want to provide exceptional care for pets.  It describes what the company needs to do now to achieve its vision.  According to Lumen Learing, the vision statement describes the future state of the company, and the mission statement describes what the company needs to do in the present to achieve that vision (Lumen Learning, Planning and Mission, n.d). Their vision statement, “We strive to provide peace of mind for pet parents by providing exceptional care for your pets,” describes their future goal. The objective is to achieve peace of mind for their clients. To obtain the vision, they need to deliver on the expectation and promise of their mission statement, providing exceptional pet care. According to Lumen Learning, a vision statement describes the value the company offers and inspires others to be a part of it (Lumen Learning, Planning and Mission, n.d).  Happy Go Puppies vision statement touts peace of mind, which intends to encourage its customers to use the service.

A strategy is a plan to organize people, processes, and resources to achieve the long term vision of an organization.  A plan includes the steps needed to execute the strategy.  According to Lumen Learning, a strategy is a comprehensive plan to achieve goals (Lumen Learning, Environments and Strategic Management, n.d).

Goals and Objectives are used to position employees’ performance to support a strategic plan.  They are the stepping stones to achieve a larger goal. In a previous job, customer satisfaction tied into the strategic plan for the company as a whole. In my department, data showed that when an IT team achieved X, it had a direct correlation to higher customer satisfaction.  Influenced by the data,  operational goals were created for each team member so they could achieve X which would contribute to the success of the company has a whole.
