ESSAY: CREATIVE / REFLECTION

PART 1: CREATIVE    Length: at least 14 lines/ 180 words
Write your own version of Girl, based on real-life instructions / warnings / sayings / advice that you hear from a parent or authority figure.  Use specific details and descriptions; include instructions about behavior related to family, home, chores, food, health and hygiene, school, culture, beliefs, religion, relationships and anything else you may hear.
FORMAT: This should not be in complete sentence/grammatical paragraph form.  Do not start with my mother says or give commentary on the advice. Look at it as stream of consciousness that simulates parents advice and rules. It may include unspoken messages, ideas or values implied from your parents behavior.  It may also include 1-2 lines of your reply to a parent; as in Girl, use italics to show a different person is speaking.
Give it your own title.  Kinkaids piece could have been titled Caribbean Girl or Girl who should not become a slut.  How would you summarize your version?

PART 2: REFLECTION
Write at least 3 paragraphs / 300 words of reflection, commenting on the instructions and explaining what they tell you about family relationships.  Connect your own version of Girl to Kincaids, using comparison and contrast.  Use at least 3 quotes from the story Girl and at least 1 quote from an online article about the story Girl. Name and use any one mode of literary theory/criticism in your reflection.
Include a WORKS CITED list with bibliographical data for the story Girl and for the online article about the story Girl. Use MLA format.

The purpose of this paper is to have you explore the relationships between attachment, especially adult attachment, and Eriksons stage theory of psychosocial development.  For this assignment, you will read the article by Pittman, Keiley, Kerpelmen, & Vaughn (2011), summarize and connect ideas from the article, and reflect on your own attachment and development.  Because part of the paper requires reflection, you may use first person (I, we, etc.) when writing the reflection parts of the paper.

You will act as a critic for some of the main subjects covered in the humanities. You will conduct a series of short, evaluative critiques of film, philosophy, literature, music, and myth. You will respond to five different prompts, and each response should include an analysis of the topics using terminology unique to that subject area and should include an evaluation as to why the topic stands the test of time. The five prompts are as follows:

Choose a film and offer an analysis of why it is an important film, and discuss it in terms of film as art. Your response should be more than a summary of the film.
Imagine you had known Plato and Aristotle and you had a conversation about how we fall in love. Provide an overview of how Plato would explain falling in love, and then provide an overview of how Aristotle might explain falling in love.
Compare and contrast the two poems below:
LOVES INCONSISTENCY

I find no peace, and all my war is done;
I fear and hope, I burn and freeze likewise
I fly above the wind, yet cannot rise;
And nought I have, yet all the world I seize on;
That looseth, nor locketh, holdeth me in prison, And holds me not, yet can I scape no wise;
Nor lets me live, nor die, at my devise,
And yet of death it giveth none occasion.
Without eyes I see, and without tongue I plain;
I wish to perish, yet I ask for health;
I love another, and yet I hate myself;
I feed in sorrow, and laugh in all my pain;
Lo, thus displeaseth me both death and life,
And my delight is causer of my grief.
Petrarch

After great pain a formal feeling comes
The nerves sit ceremonious like tombs;
The stiff Heart questionswas it He that bore?
And yesterdayor centuries before?

The feet mechanical go round
A wooden way
Of ground or air or ought
Regardless grown,
A quartz contentment like a stone.

This is the hour of lead
Remembered if outlived
As freezing persons recollect
The snow
First chill, then stupor, then
The letting go

Emily Dickinson

Compare and contrast these two pieces of music:

Beethovens Violin Romance No. 2
Scott Joplins Maple Leaf Rag

Explain in classical terms why a modern character is a hero. Choose from either Luke Skywalker, Indiana Jones, Bilbo Baggins, Harry Potter, Katniss Everdeen, or Ender Wiggins.

Develop two separate infographics (informative posters) to discuss two separate health issues relevant to the LGBT communities. In each infographic you will discuss:

What is the health problem

Which group(s) are most likely to be at risk

What social/behavioral/health system determinants affect this

Identify at least two potential interventions/activities the community, community health agency, community health nurse could offer to prevent and or support this health issue

What resistance might be met in implementing the intervention/activity.

SO WHAT I NEED IS BULLET POINTS AS I WILL DO THE INFORMATIVE POSTERS. I NEED THE DATA TO DO IT.
I NEED 1 SCHOLARLY SOURCE

This is a graphic report, other parts are already finishied. Your task is writing a introduction and conclusion accroding other body content in this report. The requirement is one page for introduction and one page for conclusion, the format should be same as other pages. If the count number of words need to more than 1100, I could pay extra money to you.

You are free to choose the topic of the essay, but it should (1) relate to European integration, (2) relate to the period after 1919, and (3) be narrow enough to be able to say something meaningful. The essay should also include a brief introduction of 2-3 sentences and a brief conclusion of 1-2 sentences. Please use footnotes for the references. I placed two examples here, but feel free to ask me more questions if you need it.
