2. An example of how individuals signal their power through art and images today that comes to mind would be through Social media. For example, Instagram is a large platform for people to display their status and the images they make public shows what resources they have as opposed to people may not have anywhere as much. These resources could range from a lot of money, lavish clothes, land property, and high quality electronic devices. High ranking people would have portraits made for them which displays their high quality fabrics while wearing expensive jewelry such as a gold rings, earrings, crowns, necklaces among the list. Presidential portraits are also another example that signals primarily wealth and leadership.

As for how Social Media platforms have a correlation with the strategies used by Ancient Near Eastern or Egypt rulers, there is very little to none to go on frankly. Rulers and high rankings among the people would be wearing very exquisite clothing and jewelry. However, the way they display their power/status among their people would be through statues and other massive art work and that isn’t the most popular method today. People today definitely have a better edge over the Ancient Near East.

3. The country in which The Parthenon stands has no importance to me. However, I do believe that the one spot of land that it was built on is where it should stand and stay. In a way, it belongs to that small point of Earth, not Greece nor England, but the plot in which the creator intended. Therefore, it should stay as a whole on that spot and not as pieces in two different locations.

I completely disagree with the argument that The Parthenon being in multiple locations is a good thing. If you want to see someone, you do not take his upper half and communicate, you speak to the whole of the person. Otherwise, you will never truly experience what it is like to be with that person. Also, if it is so great to have 50 percent of The Parthenon in two locations, why not have 25 percent be in four locations or 10 percent in 10 locations? I suppose that would give so many more people the chance to see such a minuscule part of such a great piece of art.

4.Growing up IN SUNSET PARKbest experiences. . The cemetery itself has many wonderful historical arts and designs. For example, the main gate which was built amid civil war by Architect Richard Upjohn still holds its value to this day, the spectacular design of the old Greek church represents an ingenious linking together and piling up of architectural elements to create an impressive main gateway to the cemetery. Another great architecture piece would be the chapel which is located on the site of one of Green-Wood’s original ponds. Though it is generally designed in the late Gothic style, its massing is in the Beaux-Arts style. It is made of limestone, and consists of multiple towers, including a central octagonal tower and four octagonal turrets, one at each corner. The chapel contains three levels: ground level, clerestory level, and the second story in the central tower which can give you the view of the whole cemetery. The wonderful watchtowers on the main gate and the chapel central tower, I think symbolize the height and closeness to God. The cemetery symbolizes unity and most importantly it serves as a reminder to all that we shall all return one day.

Five Paragraph Essay Format

Introduction:

Introductory Paragraph

See, first, Writing Introductory Paragraphs for different ways of getting your reader involved in your essay. The introductory paragraph should also include the thesis statement, a kind of mini-outline for the paper: it tells the reader what the essay is about. The last sentence of this paragraph must also contain a transitional “hook” which moves the reader to the first paragraph of the body of the paper.

Body:

Body First paragraph:

The first paragraph of the body should contain the strongest argument, most significant example, cleverest illustration, or an obvious beginning point. The first sentence of this paragraph should include the “reverse hook” which ties in with the transitional hook at the end of the introductory paragraph. The topic for this paragraph should be in the first or second sentence. This topic should relate to the thesis statement in the introductory paragraph. The last sentence in this paragraph should include a transitional hook to tie into the second paragraph of the body.

Body Second paragraph:

The second paragraph of the body should contain the second strongest argument, second most significant example, second cleverest illustration, or an obvious follow up the first paragraph in the body. The first sentence of this paragraph should include the reverse hook which ties in with the transitional hook at the end of the first paragraph of the body. The topic for this paragraph should be in the first or second sentence. This topic should relate to the thesis statement in the introductory paragraph. The last sentence in this paragraph should include a transitional hook to tie into the third paragraph of the body.

Body Third paragraph:

The third paragraph of the body should contain the weakest argument, weakest example, weakest illustration, or an obvious follow up to the second paragraph in the body. The first sentence of this paragraph should include the reverse hook which ties in with the transitional hook at the end of the second paragraph. The topic for this paragraph should be in the first or second sentence. This topic should relate to the thesis statement in the introductory paragraph. The last sentence in this paragraph should include a transitional concluding hook that signals the reader that this is the final major point being made in this paper. This hook also leads into the last, or concluding, paragraph.

Conclusion:

Concluding paragraph.

#This paragraph should include the following:

1. an allusion to the pattern used in the introductory paragraph,

2. a restatement of the thesis statement, using some of the original language or language that “echoes” the original language. (The restatement, however, must not be a duplicate thesis statement.)

3. a summary of the three main points from the body of the paper

FORUM DESCRIPTION
Please answer “What would you do?” the class is principles of management. Based on the article below. Additional link was provided under the article.

CEO Reed Hastings started Netflix in 1997 after becoming angry about paying Blockbuster Video $40 for a late return of Apollo 13. Hastings and Netflix struck back with flat monthly fees for unlimited DVDs rentals, easy home delivery and returns via prepaid postage envelopes, and no late fees, which let customers keep DVDs as long as they wanted. Blockbuster, which earned up to $800 million annually from late returns, was slow to respond and lost customers in droves.

When Blockbuster, Amazon, and Walmart started their own mail-delivery video rentals, Hastings recognized that Netflix was in competition with the biggest rental company, the biggest e-commerce company, and the biggest company, period. With investors expecting it to fail, Netflixs stock price dropped precipitously to $2.50 a share. But with an average subscriber cost of just $4 a month compared to an average subscriber fee of $15, Netflix, unlike its competitors, made money from each customer. Three years later, Walmart abandoned the business, asking Netflix to handle DVD rentals on Walmart.com. Amazon, by contrast, entered the DVD rental business in Great Britain, expecting that experience to prepare it to beat Netflix in the United States. But, like Walmart, Amazon quit after four years of losses. Finally, 13years after Netflixs founding, Blockbuster declared bankruptcy. With DVDs mailed to 17 million monthly subscribers from 50 distribution centers nationwide, Netflix is now the industry leader in DVD rentals.

However, its expertise in shipping and distributing DVDs wont provide a competitive advantage when streaming files over the Internet. Indeed, Netflixs Watch Instantly download service is in competition with Amazons Video on Demand, Apples iTunes, HuluPlus at Hulu.com, Time-Warner Cables TV Everywhere, and DirectTV Cinema, all of which offer movie and TV downloads. Moreover, unlike DVDs, which can be rented without studio approval, U.S. copyright laws require streaming rights to be purchased from TV and movie studios before downloading content into peoples homes. And that creates two new issues. First, does Netflix have deep enough pockets to outbid its rivals for broad access to the studios TV and movie content? Second, can it convince the studios that it is not a direct competitor? HBO, for instance, wont license any of its original shows, like The Sopranos, for Netflix streaming. It also has exclusive rights for up to eight years for content from Twentieth Century Fox and Universal Pictures. HBO co-president Eric Kessler says, There is value in exclusivity. Consumers are willing to pay a premium for high-quality, exclusive content. If other studio executives think this, Netflix will not acquire the video content it needs to satisfy its customers. Planning involves determining organizational goals and a means for achieving them. So, how can Netflix generate the cash it needs to pay the studios? How can it convince them its not a competitor so they will agree to license their content?

Netflix must also address the significant organizational challenges accompanying accelerated growth. Hastings experienced the same problem in his first company, Pure Software, where he admitted, Management was my biggest challenge; every year there were twice as many people and it was trial by fire. I was underprepared for the complexities and personalities.

With blazing growth on one hand and the strategic challenge of obtaining studio content on the other, how much time should he and his executive team devote directly to hiring? Deciding where decisions will be made is a key part of the management function of organizing. So, should he and his executive team be directly involved, or is this something that he should delegate? Finally, what can Netflix, which is located near Silicon Valley, home to Google, eBay, Apple, Hewlett-Packard, and Facebook, some of the most attractive employers in the world, provide in the way of pay, perks, and company culture that will attract, inspire, and motivate top talent to achieve organizational goals?

What would you do?

Review your problem or issue and the study materials to formulate a PICOT question for your capstone project change proposal. A PICOT question starts with a designated patient population in a particular clinical area and identifies clinical problems or issues that arise from clinical care. The intervention used to address the problem must be a nursing practice intervention. Include a comparison of the nursing intervention to a patient population not currently receiving the nursing intervention, and specify the timeframe needed to implement the change process.  Formulate a PICOT question using the PICOT format (provided in the assigned readings) that addresses the clinical nursing problem.

The PICOT question will provide a framework for your capstone project change proposal.

In a paper of 500-750 words, clearly identify the clinical problem and how it can result in a positive patient outcome.

Describe the problem in the PICOT question as it relates to the following:

1. Evidence-based solution
2. Nursing intervention
3. Patient care
4. Health care agency
5.Nursing practice

Part One:
Please use attachment from program planning to write the program evaluation parts.

Executive Summary (Abstract) 1 page  DUE OCT 5
Provide a brief overview of your report.  Highlight the what and why and any major findings that resulted from the evaluation.  Also include major conclusions and recommendations.  The Executive Summary is often read by someone who does not have time to read the entire evaluation report, such as a representative from an external funding agency or another stakeholder.

Evaluation Questions and Program Objectives ( page-1 page)DUE OCT 5

Evaluation questions are basically research questions, and they directly connect  to the program goals and objectives.  To help you determine what you need to evaluate, identify the program goals and objectives.  If you do not plan to evaluate the intervention created in HS 3073, you need to identify the goals and objectives for another program you have selected.  Once you have identified the program objectives, then you can formulate your evaluation questions.

Part Two:
You have conducted a needs assessment, created a health promotion program based on your needs assessment data, and now you are planning the evaluation.  In this class, you have created your evaluation questions and objectives based on the health promotion program. Each group will create the “mock” data used for the project. For this discussion board posting, please share how you feel about the evaluation process so far by responding to these questions:  How do concepts of the evaluation process relate to other core concepts/responsibilities learned in the Health Studies program?  Is the process what you thought it would be?  Do you think this is the easiest or most difficult part of the health education/promotion process?  Why?

Each publication will have between 400 words minimum/600 maximum for body copy only. Each designer from the team will research one assigned designer and prepare a *well-written biographical, along with their contributions, awards, and a quote (either by the designer or someone else familiar with the designers work).

Designer name: Susan Kare

Thoroughly read the case.  start page 103
It is recommended that you read 2-3 times.

Prepare a 5-page report (12-point font, double spaced not including the title page or reference page), that addresses the following questions:

Describe the industry in which Organigram is operating.
What factors contribute to the ambiguity faced by Organigram?
What possibilities currently exist for Organigram to grow?  Will they change with legalization and if so how?
What evaluation criteria should Organigram use when assessing growth options while keeping in mind the recommendations from the Task Force?
What would you recommend Organigrams next steps be?
What changes may occur within the industry that may impact Organigrams growth?

Select a company, government agency or any other service outlet and one of its products that interest you to study from an applied economic point of view. You are encouraged to look up articles about your chosen company or agency utilizing such sources as Business Week, Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Marketing Communications, Media-Scope, Advertising Age, Law Enforcement Magazines, Health Magazines, and etc. If possible, you should visit or correspond with the company or agency, contact distributors or agents, and discuss the product(s) or service(s) with actual or potential users. Collect economic data in the product(s) or service(s) you have chosen.

A. At the end of this course, you should turn in a term paper that analyzes and estimates the demand of your chosen firms product(s) or service(s) USING REGRESSIONAL ANALYSIS.

B. Assume that your company or agency is concerned about near-term economic conditions and wishes to obtain a qualitative forecast of sales or service in the upcoming quarter. Assume also that you are the market analyst for your company or agency planning to use one or more of the leading economic indicators (LEI) published by the US Department of Commerce to formulate your qualitative forecast. You can Google The Leading Economic Indicator (LEI).

C. Explain how the indicator or each of the indicators might affect future sales and/or service. (For example, if the average work week of production workers in manufacturing increased, explain the affect on your companys sales.) Explain which or among these indicators would be most important in formulating your qualitative forecast.

Your paper will be graded on the following criteria:

1. Use of REGRESSION ANALYSIS to analyze the company or agency and its product(s) or service(s). Explain your REGRESSION ANALYSIS model(s) OUTPUT.

2. Degree to which information was sought and attained.

3. Quality of your analysis of the firms pricing.

4. Quality of your recommendations for future new or current product(s)/service(s) pricing.

GUIDELINES FOR YOUR TERM PAPER

In writing your term paper below are some guidelines that will assist you.

A. Start by defining your objective for the problem you are about to solve. For example, I wish to find out why my grades are low? My demand equation will be:

Qd of grades = F(# of Hrs. spent studying, Understanding the textbook, following course instructions and etc). That is Qd of g=a-Hrs+Ut+Ins.

1. Show your data

2. Show your equation – either demand or supply (Chapter 2)

3. Show your Regression analysis (Chapter 4) See examples on pages 127,136, 137 and 138.

4. Interpret your regression analysis Chapters 4, 7)

5. Show your elasticity calculation (Chapter 6.)

6. Show your forecasting (Chapter 7) See examples on pages 252, 254, 255, 256,257 and 258.

7. Show your marginal analysis (Chapter 3)

8. Conclusion.
