Lots of people put together PowerPoint presentations, but do they really know how to do so effectively? That’s the substance of our discussion this time. And we aren’t necessarily limited to PowerPoint. What are some other presentation possibilities and formats available? Take some time to research best practice guildelines for PowerPoints. If you find some particularly effective/impressive presentations, post them here so we can all take a look and discuss why you think they may be effective.

Summary:
Students must analyse two case studies. These case studies have a list of questions you must answer.
Step 1: Read case study and questions carefully. Highlight the main points of the case and any issues that you can identify. Read the questions closely and analyse what they are requiring you to do.
Step 2: Identify the issues in the case study an important part of your answer is to analyse the situation and to identify the issues/actions described in the case which may be problematic. The following questions may help you to do this:
What actions were taken in the case?
Were these actions the most appropriate and why?
Were there any consequences of the taken actions?
Was anything omitted or not considered?
Were actions/procedures in line with existing codes of practice, policy or theories?
STEP 3: Link theory to practice. Use your knowledge of existing codes of practice, theories and/or other professional documents and behaviours to decide what was done appropriately and what was not.

I want to hear your thoughts on and interpretations of the texts, not SparkNotes, not Shmoops. Therefore, if I find plagiarized, paraphrased or summarized material from a study aid site or another resource of that nature, I will write you up for academic dishonesty, EVEN IF YOU CITED THE MATERIAL. This course is not about your ability to copy and paste another persons interpretation of a text but your ability to interpret and analyze a text. Peer-reviewed secondary sources (articles in refereed journals, available through the library databases), ARE allowed in your papers, but they must be incorporated and cited properly, whether paraphrased, summarized, or directly quoted, both in-text and on a Works Cited page.
CHOOSE ONE OF THE TWO PROMPTS
Prompt 1: Imagery:
Both of these poems include imagery that appeals to the senses. Picking one poem, focus on the imagery used. Identify what senses are evoked through the imagery and discuss how those concrete images help develop the poems purpose/theme.
Prompt 2: Speaker and Audience:
Both of these poems are responses to something stated by an unseen listener (not you as the reader). However, the poems are ultimately responses directly to you as the reader. Discuss the techniques and devices the speaker uses in these two poems to speak directly to the reader and identify what the intended reaction of the reader may be. Then, discuss whether you reacted the way you think the speaker intended. If so, how did that reaction fulfill the poems purpose; if not, did the speaker still get her point across? How?

1. There are conflicting opinions regarding the historical effectiveness of FDA’s regulatory pathway for manufacturers to obtain marketing approval for new biosimilar therapeutic products. In 2-3 paragraphs please explain your own opinion as to why FDA’s marketing approval process for new biosimilar products is or is not effective? As part of your answer please include an assessment of regulatory and other types of variables that both proponents, as well as opponents, of the process have used to describe their own opinion. Should FDA’s biosimilar therapeutic marketing evaluation process remain the same, or do you believe it should be modified in some way?
2.Do you believe it is possible for FDA to accelerate its current new pharmaceutical and/or biologic approval processes without compromising patient safety? If so, how can this be done? If not, why not?

Prompt 2: Repetition:
Both poems used repetition in their constructionword or phrase repetition that helped develop an image, develop a setting, develop meaning. Look at what each poem repeated and discuss how that word/phrase repetition helped develop Limns theme and purpose in each poem.
As we previously considered our reactions to The Master Switch we should also do the same thing for Consent of the Networked by Rebecca MacKinnon. As before, you can present your thoughts in any format or organization that makes sense to you, but address the following questions in your post:
What do you think MacKinnon’s point was in writing this book? Does she have a personal agenda? If so, what was it?
How persuasive are her arguments? Do you buy them? If yes – why? If not, what are your counter arguments?
How have your personal perceptions on the openness of the internet been impacted by reading Consent of the Networked?
