Describing an example of a potentially lifechanging or especially lucrative business opportunity in the IoT sector. Be sure to explain the following, drawing on the modules as needed for reference:

(1) What industry will it be in?

(2) How will the service be delivered at all three of the levels described?

(3) Explain how lucrative it stands to be (based on consumer demand, etc. – not looking for financial projections, just a justification that it is a strong business opportunity). Be sure to draw on the modules as necessary to justify your claim.  If it does not stand to be particularly lucrative, what other kind(s) of value does it stand to bring for the individual or society?

It is time to brainstorm! Using the techniques you have learned for brainstorming, choose four different current event topics that you might want to cover in your presentation, the informative speech delivered in week 6. For each topic, list the general purpose statement, a specific purpose statement, the central idea, and a few potential points. Include a paragraph or two describing your thoughts on the usefulness of brainstorming and the ways you can improve its use in the future.

NOTE: You must meet writing guidelines and use current APA format.

Zero Hunger in Africa

Here you will visit the site http://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/ (Links to an external site.) (also found in Module 1) and choose a sustainable development goal (SDG) of your choice! Each week you will update your blog regarding your chosen SDG (You will create a NEW Blog, each titled Blog 1, Blog 2, etc.). For the FIRST WEEK ONLY, you will also introduce your SDG before investigating your first nation. Each week, the student will provide background information from a country within the UN on how it is addressing the goal they chose (you keep the same goal throughout the project, only changing the country you are visiting each week) by answering the following questions:

How will the SDGs be implemented?
How will the SDGs be monitored?
How much will the implementation of this new sustainable development agenda cost?
How does climate change relate to sustainable development?
Is this an issue for the country?
What resources does this country have to reach this goal?
Is this currently being addressed by the country?
Is this a priority in the country?
Your Blog should be educational, professional, decorative/appealing, creative, and in APA format. You should have AT LEAST 350 words, in-text citations for your resources, a reference list at the end of your post, and AT LEAST 2 references.

Discussion 2: Coding Scholar of Change Video #2
In Week 5, you selected one of the Scholars of Change videos to begin the coding process. For this Discussion, you will select another Scholars of Change video, different than the one you selected in Week 5, to begin coding not only your field notes but also the transcript of the video you downloaded.

To prepare for this Discussion:

Review the chapters in the Saldaa text.
Review the Introduction to Coding and From Content to Coding media programs in the Learning Resources.
Refer back to your observational field notes from Weeks 14 Scholars of Change videos.
From the remaining videos, choose a different Scholars of Change video and refer to your notes from your observation for this Discussion.
Access the transcript you downloaded for the media program of the Scholars of Change video you selected for this Discussion.
Begin to code the transcript and the observational field notes of the Scholar of Change video you chose. (Note: You will only need one or two codes for this Discussion, although more are acceptable.)
By Day 4
Post a brief description of the video you chose. Next, include an example of one or two codes and provide quotes from your notes or transcript to support your example. Finally, explain your reasoning for this coding.

Be sure to support your main post and response post with reference to the weeks Learning Resources and other scholarly evidence in APA style.

By Day 6
Respond to one of your colleagues posts and explain how your colleagues codes are similar or different than yours.

The document must be written in Word or rtf.  No other format is acceptable.  Pdf files will not be graded.  Use 12-point font for a double-spaced report.  The final product cannot be longer than 8 pages in length, which includes all tables and matrices but excludes the title page and reference page.  Do no use an Appendix.
Create a title page with title, your name, the course number, the instructor’s name.
Provide a company overview, which is an essential component to the strategic management process.  The company overview includes the purpose(s) for the founding of the company, i.e, what problems was it formed to solve and/or opportunities it was formed to exploit, who are the founders, home country or state, current management, employee headcount, last years revenue, etc.).  COMPANY IS BHP https://www.bloomberg.com/quote/BHP:US
Identify the global industry in which the company operates.  This will come from Mergent Online.
Discuss the company’s general environment by developing a PESTEL analysis.  First, use the course material to identify the elements of the PESTEL and what components make up each element.  Then, complete the analysis using research on the industry and the focal company. Be sure to thoroughly present and support the reasoning for what is presented.  You may not use a PESTEL analysis that is already completed and available on the Internet.  A zero will result if used as the analysis has to be the result of your research and your own development.  NOTE:  A PESTEL analysis is not a table and it is not a bulleted assessment.
Identify and discuss one key trend for each letter of the PESTEL for the industry.  Key trends are separate from the PESTEL analysis.
Select one of the six trends identified in the previous requirement and discuss how the focal company could be affected by the selected trends.
Discuss key areas of uncertainty related to the identified trend for the focal company that could potentially impact the company’s strategy.
Perform a strategic analysis of the company’s mission, vision and objectives.
Create a concluding paragraph.  The Conclusion is intended to emphasize the purpose/significance of the analysis, emphasize the significance/consequence of findings, and indicate the wider applications that are derived from the main points of the projects requirements.  You will draw conclusions about the findings of the external environment analysis.

Discussion 1: What About Focus Groups?
Focus groups can provide rich, thick descriptions of experiences, attitudes, and opinions shared by a group of individuals who have in common a shared experience about the phenomena you are studying.

Review the resources in the course and online about the challenges, advantages, and disadvantages of using focus groups as part your research methods. Consider if, for your topic, whether a focus group would be a good choice for data collection.

For this Discussion, you will explore the differences between individual interviewing and focus groups.

To prepare for this Discussion:

Review the Learning Resources related to coding, data analysis, and focus groups.
Review the focus group media program found in the Learning Resources and consider how you might use a focus group in collecting data for the topic of your research.
By Day 3
Post your explanation of:

The difference between collecting data using individual interviews and a focus group (e.g., intent, selecting participants, conducting the interview or focus group)
Given the topic you are currently using for your research, would you consider using a focus group for your study? Why or why not?
Be sure to support your main post and response post with reference to the weeks Learning Resources and other scholarly evidence in APA style.

By Day 5
Respond to one of your colleagues posts with a suggestion about using a focus group for their research idea. Your suggestion may include 34 interview questions to ask, considerations for sampling; or how to manage recruiting participants.
