Read the rubric labeled Strategy Application Project Assessment Rubric for all requirements for this project.

You will be completing this assignment in sections so I will upload the other sections separately! But for now please only focus on completing the 4 FULL PAGES on:

I. Planning

1. Identify an evidence-based strategy (by name; you will find this in the title of the article I uploaded) from a peer reviewed article (put in APA format), the strategys specific purpose and/or intended outcomes, and provide a rationale for why the strategy is appropriate for a targeted student(s) who will benefit from use of this strategy; you will need to get instructor approval for use

2. Article Summary Table

3. Develop a brief assessment of student(s) targeted skill, which should align with the selected strategy

4. Develop any materials for strategy implementation

5. List the specific, detailed steps of the strategy (out of class assignment) in a numbered sequence that acts as a task scaffold for someone who wishes to be guided, step-by-step, through using the strategy. (You will complete micro-teaching of the strategy to classmates (in class assignment)

Note: Please only use the material I provide to you! Also, I will keep uploading additional material for you.

1.What does this quote from Lillys CEO mean for Lillys strategy: The challenge for us as an industry, as a company, is to move from a blockbuster model to a targeted model. We need a better value proposition than today. Sydney Taurel, CEO, Eli Lilly (The New York Times, July 3, 2005)
2.What is personalized medicine? What capabilities does Lilly have now and what capabilities must it build to have a targeted therapeutics strategy?
3.What functional areas of Lilly will house these capabilities?
4.Where will challenges to the new strategy come from?

By now you have read about communication, specifically human language and know that language (words) are symbolic and make meaning.  Language is a powerful cultural tool . It shapes and reshapes our way of going about life in many cases.  For example, look at some of the rhetoric used today, passionate vocal displays concerning human rights in the U.S.

I want you to look at the language and the power in the Black LIves Matters movement and those who are so offended by this movement.  Try to look at both sides and analyze the language on both sides to see the power behind words .  Take one example from each side of this movement and then is there any way we can possibly overcome such hatred and racist statements by people who do not understand that racism is a form of institutional slavery. How would you as an anthropologist then go about trying to resolve some of the issues .  What would you say if someone said that their words were freedom of speech and were protected.

In this question(s) , there are lots of ways in which this paper could answer .  850 words min .  100 points

Hi friend, I just need the introduction section for the first page and the second page I need the income statement for whatever company you choose on http://finance.yahoo.com . I am doing this project in parts so thats why Im doing only the introduction & income statement. Please refer to the photo I attached and refer to the 3 guidelines mentioned. Also please remember to add a APA-formatted title page and also a reference page and also in text citations. Thank you! Let me know if you have any questions.

Week 7: Website Project: Let’s Explore the World through Music Due Jun 21, 2020 (in 5 days)
Goal: The goal of this forum is to explore the history, culture, instruments and musical elements of a specific style of non-Western music.

Course Objectives:

CO-2: Apply musical terminology, concepts and critical listening skills to a given major composer and style of music.
CO-3: Analyze the social, political, and cultural influences on Western and non-Western music.
CO-4: Examine different styles of music found around the world.

Description:

In this project, you will create an informative website featuring the traditional music of a specific non-Western culture that is not covered in Chapter 8 of the course text. (Note that the term “world music” in the context of this assignment refers to music that is not based in the Western tradition of music. See below for more information about choosing a topic.) A link to your completed website will be posted to the WK8 Lets Explore the World through Music Forum.

You will be building your website using www.wix.com, which is free and easy to use. Wix features user-friendly drag and drop technology, so you can easily change or customize your website. All that is required is to set-up an account using your email address and password. Here is a beginner’s guide for creating Wix websites. There is also a good video explanation of building a website with Wix. Wix also has an excellent Help Center to address any questions you have while creating your website.

The website should include the following:

1.    A summary of the chosen culture including a short history.

2.    A brief explanation of some beliefs and traditions of the culture.

3.    Description of the instruments used in that cultures music.

4.    Explanation of the key attributes of the cultures music, including melody, harmony, timbre, texture, rhythm and form. (If the style of music you choose does not include one or more of these musical elements, then you need to explain why that musical element is not present in the music.)

5.    Specific introduction to one piece of music from the culture. Include at least one example of the music, such as through linking to YouTube performances. Be sure to include a description of the musical example.

The above elements can either be included on one page of your website or separated into different pages.

Include your name on your website. Your website should include photos and video (either linked or embedded). Embedded photos and videos need to be cited.

Your choice of world music must be a style of traditional music that is non-Western or not from the Western tradition of music, therefore avoid choosing styles of music from the U.S., Canada, or Europe, including Jazz or any type of pop music (including hip hop). For example, a pop or rock band from Europe or Japan would not be appropriate for this assignment. Celtic or Irish music are also not appropriate styles of music because these are European styles of music. Also, because most students are already familiar with Reggae music, do not choose Reggae for your topic.

There are hundreds of styles of music from each continent that are not covered in the course materials. For example, Dagomban and Ewe music is covered in the Africa section of our e-text. This music is from Ghana, but there are other tribes in Ghana, who have a unique style of music. Another example is Southeast Asia. Javanese and Balinese music is in the course reading, but there are many Southeast Asian countries and cultures that are not addressed in the course materials. If you are not sure if your chosen topic is a style of non-Western music, contact your instructor, who will provide guidance on your topic selection.

Sources must be valid, academic sources (i.e. Please do not use non-academic websites, such as Wikipedia or About.com). Your website should not contain more than 15% direct quotes and direct quotes must be in quotation marks. Direct quotes and paraphrased material must be cited in the body of the text and in a reference section.

After your website is completed and published, submit your website link in Assignments. Then, you will be posting a link to your website in the WK8: Exploring the World through Music thread when answering the WK8 Forum question.

Please consider the following:

Your project will be evaluated according to this grading iRubric. Here is a sample website that met the assignment requirements.
Note: If you are a military member serving overseas and have limited internet access that would prevent you from completing this project, contact your instructor for an alternate assignment.
Here are some samples of Wix websites. Let your creative imaginations inspire you to create your websites!
If you have any questions or concerns about this project, post in the Questions thread in our classroom. If you have a question of a personal nature, contact your instructor using Messages.

Description:

Watch two videos featuring the performance of a twentieth century music composition. Your choices must be from the twentieth or twenty-first century classical tradition, such as solo, orchestral or chamber music performances, not pop, rock, or jazz. Please note that this assignment is not a 20th or 21st century performance of music from the Classical era – students should watch videos of music that was composed in the twentieth or twenty-first century. The music chosen for this assignment needs to have been written in the twentieth or twenty-first century, so it is important to not choose music that was composed before the twentieth century. You can either choose two compositions written by the same composer or a composition from two different twentieth or twenty-first century composers. If you are not sure if your choices fit the requirements, be sure to ask in the Questions thread or by sending a personal message to your instructor. The following is a list of possible choices for composers for this assignment. You are not required to choose a composer from this list as long as your choices are composers from the twentieth or twenty-first century.

Jeanne Demessieux
Harry T. Burleigh
William Grant Still
Arnold Bax
Ralph Vaughan Williams
Sergei Rachmaninoff
Gustav Holst
Arvo Prt
Henry Balfour Gardiner
Gerald Finzi
Nadia Boulanger
Lili Boulanger
Benjamin Britten
Marcel Dupr
Charles Ives
Manuel de Falla
Claude Debussy
Maurice Ravel
Augusta Read Thomas
Bela Bartok
Leonard Bernstein
Aaron Copland
Igor Stravinsky
Arnold Schoenberg
John Adams
Dorothy Rudd Moore
Philip Glass
Morton Feldman
Dmitri Shostakovich
Ruth Crawford Seeger (Ruth Porter Crawford)
Pierre Boulez
Terry Riley

For each of the two videos, discuss how each composition reflects the six basics of melody, harmony, texture, rhythm, timbre, and form. You can refer to Tools in the course text, particularly in chapter one, for detailed information about each of these musical terms. Please also address how the composer’s music reflects the culture and/or time period in which he or she lived. This aspect of the assignment should include information from academic sources about the musical style of your chosen composer/s that is cited. The videos should be cited in the body of the text and in a reference page.

There is no specific word count requirement for this assignment – just be sure you are addressing all of the required elements. This paper should be written in paragraph form using complete sentences with a clear introduction and conclusion. In addition to these elements, please be sure to fulfill the Requirements for Writing Assignments (see below), including citing all sources (including the performances) both in the body of the text and in a reference page. Please note that MLA is the standard citation style in the humanities. Here are some good sources of information for Evaluating Online Resources, Citing Sources, and Writing & Grammar Resources. Papers will be evaluated according to the following Short Paper grading iRubric. Please review and utilize this grading rubric in order to maximize points earned on this assignment.

Chapters 14 and 15 in your text cover legal and ethical issues in social media. Pick a court case discussed in either chapter, and research it a little further. Write a brief overview of the court case, which legal issues were brought into question (which laws were considered broken), and if you think the case was actually in violation of privacy or defamation laws. Please explain why or why you did not agree with the court ruling.

Your paper should be between 600 and 900 words and written in APA format. List your sources in an APA reference list at the end of your paper.

Important note:  Citing a court case in the proper format is key.  United States v. Paramount (1948)  is correct.

Objectives: CO 1, 2, 7, 8

Now that you have explored the Web sites of a number of professional associations and foundations that support the work of higher education professionals, share your findings with your colleagues and determine “what’s on the agenda” of these organizations. In your Discussion this week, address the following questions:

Are there common themes that you see running through the issues and topics addressed by several associations? Are there some associations whose agenda seems to be very different from those of others? How do the agendas of these organizations overlap with the issues we’ve been investigating in this course so far? Are the associations working on issues that truly concern the majority of higher education professionals, and is their work likely to provide resources that will help us with our key challenges? Do you see any gaps?

topic is What’s on the Agenda
