ever been a to restaurant or a place where the smell of the food is so good that it made your mouth water or drool. Well, for me this is everything I go to my favorite restaurant Raffertys.
I remember my first time going there; my family and I were going for my birthday. The weather was great, the sun was shining and it was windy. My Raffertys is my favorite restaurant because I love all of the food there.  My head was hurting a little I had just gotten my box braids by the Africans up the streets the day before. I like my food neatly made and it has to be all the way cooked. I do not eat everyones cooking at all. What is makes them so unique are their honey butter croissants and their loaded baked-potatoes.  When I first walked  in the door to Raffertys there was this always this sweet smell of their honey butter croissant rolls in the air and the restaurant was clean as a whistle. Was really I usually get their mouthwatering sweet tea and get four basket of croissant and three loaded baked potatoes with extra everything. Their sweet tea is sweet than honeycomb, just how I like it. Their loaded baked potatoes are always big and fat stuffed with lots of delicious bacon shredded cheese, and chives with sour cream on top.  They have plenty of different meals, drinks, dessert, and much more. You can eat there. It gives me a big variety of things to choose from. You can also call and get a go to order.  The only reason why I go to Raffertys is to get their sweet tea, croissant, and loaded baked potatoes.

Specific Question for Unit 2:

The assigned article details the growing divide between Texas as a state and the more liberal leanings growing within its major cities. Though each city is unique and different, a certain political philosophy exists which has led local, more urban governments to be more active than what Texans have traditionally allowed. The author concludes that if Texas is to continue its success, local city governments should not adopt a tax and spend agenda, but rather should continue the model championed by the state of low tax, low service which would allow business and enterprise to continue to flourish. Is the author correct?

Since President Trump has taken office, he has been critical of mainstream media, calling it “fake news” and more recently dubbing it the “enemy of the people.” This has prompted media outlets and other groups to call the criticism an attack on democracy.

For you paper, argue in support of or against the following topic:
Do you think mainstream media in the United States today supports or undermines American democracy?

As part of your response, you’ll want to accomplish the following:

1. Define democracy
2. Examine the role of the free press in a democracy
3. Analyze how effectively the American press (print and broadcast) is fulfilling that role or not in practice rather than theory. This should be the main focus of your paper. Your arguments should be supported by evidence and statistics.
4. If you agree with President Trump, explain what the shortcoming of the free press are and what could be done to help enhance their effectiveness in advancing democracy in America.
If you disagree with President Trump, what is the free press in the U.S. doing right and what should be done to better support the media in advancing democracy in America.

Regardless of your position, you paper should explore counterclaims or the arguments of the other side and provide a justification as to why you think the other sides arguments are not well founded.
