1.    Chapter 1: Introduction
The introduction needs a clear rationale and statement of the problem. Please explain:
a.    WHY is this research interesting?
b.    WHY should we want read this?
c.    WHAT is significant about the issue? and therefore,
d.    WHAT questions do we need to ask? This leads to your aims and RQs (in the opening chapter). The intro needs to give me a flavour of what you are doing, why and how you are doing it.
e.    Your research questions (both of them) are not good they need more detail.

2.    Chapter 2: Literature Review
The literature review still does not show that you really know what you are trying to explain. Please address the following issues)

a)    show you have a better command of the a. ‘what is policy?’ debate and the different approaches to think what we mean by policy.

b)    b show you have a better understanding of Ball’s ‘policy as text and/or discourse’ – why does he make this distinction? what does he hope to achieve? how does it offer an alternative to other perspectives (and what does it add?)?

c)    Add more references.
d)    Explain policy analysis.
e)    Explain different approaches to policy analysis
f)    Explain and justify the approach you adopting.
g)    Elaborate the big terminologies (e.g. nationalism, positivist westphalian tradition, critical westphalian tradition, positivist post-westphalian tradition, critical post-westphalian tradition, policy sociology tradition, etc.). You cannot just say this and that without elaborating it.

3.    Chapter 3: Methodology
Please address the following issues:
a.    Since you MENTIONED quite a lot about Foucault and critical policy sociology, explain and justify that your philosophical is CRITICAL. This (Foucauldian approach) will inform your research design data collection and analysis.
b.    Explain and justify why you will use interviews, documents and observation. Elaborate how do these link to your research questions? what data do they provide? who will you observe? why? how?
c.    What are the relationships between Case Study and Foucauldian approach?

After reading the primary sources, pick a topic related to Europeans and Africans in the Transatlantic Slave Trade that you would like to analyze in your essay. Potential topics include:
African perceptions of European slave traders or the slave trade.
European perceptions of Africans slaves or African traders.
The role of violence in the slave trade.
African resistance to the slave trade.
The relationship and negotiations between European and African traders.
You can also develop your own topic based on your own interests. Email your instructor your potential topic and they can help you refine it as needed. You must develop a topic based on your reading of both primary sources and you must analyze evidence from both sources in your paper.
Your essay should be at least three pages in length. Please use 12-point font and double-spacing. Your essay must have a works cited page and follow MLA style.
Organizing Your Essay
Here is a general guide for organizing your essay.
Introduction: Introduce the topic your essay will address. Next, establish your essays main argument or thesis statement.
First Main Paragraph – Historical Context : Explain the historical context in which your primary sources originated.
Second Main Paragraph: Support your thesis by analyzing your primary sources and providing specific supporting evidence.
Third Main Paragraph: Support your thesis by analyzing your primary sources and providing specific supporting evidence. You can develop more supporting paragraphs as needed if you start new sub-topics.
Conclusion: Tie together the points you made in your essay and reiterate your thesis.

Are there differences in the types of inequalities between the two spaces? Explain your take on this, considering readings and lectures. Things to consider: Why are cities prioritized in the social geography literature? Are the issues within cities unique to cities themselves? What about rural areas? Use evidence from these texts/ sources to back up your claims.

You are asked to give your perspective considering the array of evidence from this week’s texts, and lectures. You’ll need a balance of both represented in your response.

Because this is the last discussion board post, maximum points and possible 2 points extra credit will go to responses that 1) fulfill the elements of the prompt, AND 2) connect to earlier (weeks 1- 8) discussions/ lectures and texts.

Complete research and create an online  poster/ Google presentation to explain the processes of respiration.

Deadline: Sunday 31st May at 4pm.

To be included:

All parts of respiration and where in the cell they occur.

What are the substrates and products of each part of the individual  processes.

The names of the protein/ enzymes involved / any known inhibitors of respiration
and where they act.

2 different medical conditions that affect the process of  respiration and the consequences of this to the individual and also society.
