Final Project, Part 2. Development of the Topic.

I am including my Part 1 also and my subject is about Politics.

This part of the final project is a summary of your ongoing work on the final paper; it should include three paragraphs, one covering each selected work. You should also make sure to re-state what your subject is.

Identify how the subject you chose in Part 1 appears in three different examples, each from a different Humanities discipline (visual art, music, dance, poetry, prose, theater, film, religion). For instance, you could choose a poem, a painting and a scene from a film, all of which express and represent the theme of anger. Or, to be even more specific, if you choose the emotion of “love,” the final paper could analyze and discuss love as it is expressed in Shakespeare’s Sonnet 147 (literature), Boticelli’s Birth of Venus (visual art), and in the ballet Swan Lake (dance).

Write one short paragraph (3-5 sentences) about each of your selections in which you:

Identify a reliable and appropriate example (a good-quality image, recording, video, etc.).
Identify and cite the source, including the artist, creator etc. as well as where you found the example.
Explain why you find the example relevant for this assignment.
Identify one tool, concept or method from the Learning Resources you might be able to use to talk about it.
STOP: Before you hand in your assignment, make sure to ask yourself the following questions:

Have I chosen three examples from three different fields of the Humanities?
Are each of the examples I chose specific, reliable, appropriate, relevant to my topic?
Have I offered an explanation for each example that offers a reason for including it?
Have I provided a specific and appropriate interpretative tool, concept or method that I will likely use to interpret each example?
Have I provided a list of resources and do all of my citations conform to MLA 8th edition guidelines?
Have I proofread this assignment for grammatical, structural, and spelling errors?
Due Date for Part 2: This submission is due during Week 6, with the final day of submission being the Tuesday of the sixth week (11:30pm ET). Please see the Course Schedule for the exact final due date for this submission. The submission should be carefully edited and proofed for standard use of English.

Imagine you are working on the nightshifts in a nursing home. This is your sixth straight day and youre feeling very tired. One of the residents, Mannie, an 85-year-old male, has been in the home for ten years after having a stroke. Mary needs to be turned every 2-hours to avoid him developing pressure sores, but you and the other nurse you are working with decides to turn him irregularly. Your justifications of these decisions are to avoid disturbing his sleep as well as to protect your backs. At the end of the shift, you turn Mannie and record in his notes that you have done every 2-hours throughout the night. He has not developed a pressure sore, so what is the harm? Now consider this: you turn him at the end of the night and discover that a small area has broken down on his left hip. Is this your fault? If the manager asks if you have turned him every 2-hours, as stated in the care plan, what will you say? You could say you turned him every 2-hours this would not change anything for Mannie but would make your life easier. Alternatively, you go to turn him at the end of the night shift only to discover that he has died sometime during the night. Mannie has been dead for a while based on how cold he is. You know you can just claim that you found him earlier in the night and prepare his body quickly before the day staff comes in to work. Surely this will not change anything; no one will be hurt, will they?

After reading the article, take some time to reflect on cultural diversity in healthcare, then answer substantively to the following questions. ll posts and replies must contain at least (2) professional references, one may be the course textbook, properly cited in the current APA format.

1. Which, if any, of these scenarios are acceptable? Does the blame attached to any of them change because of the outcome?
2. What does your choice of actions say about you?

3.What values are being displayed here? Explain.

Many of you are a registered nurse. Since your graduation 3 years ago, you have worked as a full-time industrial health nurse for a large manufacturing plant. Although you love your family (spouse and one preschool-aged child), you love your job as well because a career is very important to you. Recently, you and your spouse decided to have another baby. At that time, you and your spouse reached a joint decision that if you had another baby, you would reduce your work time and spend more time at home with the children. Last week, however, the director of human resources told you that the full-time director of health-care services for the plant is leaving and that the organization wants to appoint you to the position. You were initially thrilled and excited; however, you found out several days later that you and your spouse are expecting a baby. Last night, you spoke with your spouse about your career future. Your spouse is an attorney whose practice has suddenly gained momentum. Although the two of you have shared child-rearing equally until this point, your spouse is not sure how much longer this can be done if the law practice continues to expand. If you take the position, which you would like to do, it would mean full-time work and more management responsibilities. You want the decision you and your spouse reach to be well-thought-out, as it has far-reaching consequences and concerns many people.

Writing Pompts

Determine what you should do.
Examine both the individual aspects of decision making and the critical elements in making decisions.
Make a plan including a goal, a list of information, and data that you need to gather and areas where you may be vulnerable to poor decision making.
Examine the consequences of each alternative available to you.
After you have made your decision, get together in a group (four to six people) and share your decisions.
Were they the same?
How did you approach the problem solving differently from others in your group?
Was a rational systematic problem-solving process used, or was the chosen solution based more on intuition?
How many alternatives were generated?
Did some of the group members identify alternatives that you had not considered?
Was a goal or objective identified?
How did your personal values influence your decision?

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCUSSIONS:  Your contributions should be thoughtful and developed.  Answer all parts of the question and use concepts from the course materials.  Use a professional style of communication, with attention to grammar, spelling, and typos; cite your sources.

Choose ONE of the following options for a play and a corresponding film adaptation to address this question. You might have to rent the film or find it on an online streaming service

OPTION 1: Read Romeo and Juliet and watch one of the following adaptations: Gnomeo & Juliet (2011), Chicken Rice War (2000), Romeo Must Die (2000), Romeo + Juliet (1996), Romeo and Juliet(1968), Romeo and Juliet (1966), West Side Story (1961), Romeo and Juliet (1954), Romeo and Juliet (1936).

Now, for the play/film pair that you chose, address all parts of this question.

Clearly identify two scenes from the written play that also appear in the film (however loosely) that you think are significant to the overall story, and explain why.
Offer an assessment of how well you think the film portrayed the two scenes. In other words, was the film’s portrayal of these two scenes effective or ineffective? Why?
Use at least two of the terms and concepts from the Learning Resources for the module explain why the scenes portrayed in the film were effective or ineffective. For example, perhaps the film used specific music and lighting in a scene to effectively emphasize the tension of the scene. Underline or bold the vocabulary, concept or technique you use as an interpretative tool in your post.
Finally, give your overall opinion about how the themes of this play translate to our contemporary world and why you think this play has had so many film adaptations.

I had completed a nursing philosophy paper last semester, it is kind of like the one that needs to be completed now. I am attaching it in case you would like to use some of those ideas or add to them. In the last paper the comparison has to be done between a hospital and Miami Dade College, this time it is just between two hospitals. Therefore you can omit Miami Dade College and just research one hospital so your job is made easier.
