Behavior Explanation Paper Instructions
With the cover page as page 1, the BE paper should be two to three pages, single- spaced, and TYPED. Electronically submit to the BB Dropbox by 11AM, October 1, 2020, when the dropbox closes. The following policies in the syllabus apply: IIB (BE paper details), IIIB (paper format policy), IIIC (late paper policy), IIIE (plagiarism policy).
Select one BE concept from the two below:
1. Temptation (chapter 11, page 349-350): [Note: example to show resisting desire]
desire to do something temporarily enjoyable that has a negative consequence OR
2. Mere exposure effect (chapter 13, page 437): [Note: example to show increasing liking] increases in contact with someone or something may increase liking for that someone or something
Grading
1. A grade of Pass or Fail on this assignment is possible.
2. For a grade of Fail, students may re-write the paper (per feedback from the return of the
original BE paper) and submit a revision in an attempt to receive a Pass. The revision due date is November 5, 2020.

The paper should be divided into three sections that are clearly labeled with the following exact headings and required information for each section.
BEHAVIOR EXPLANATION
1. Description of Behavior
In this section, you need to describe the behavior which you observed. You must describe a real-life example of a behavior that you have experienced yourself or observed in others. You should include enough detail so that I can fully understand what you observed. The goal of this section is to provide an ACCURATE description of the behavior.
2. Concept Identification
Using your own words, identify and describe the concept from class that is relevant to the behavior you described in #1. Be sure you are explaining the concept in your own words (not using the exact wording from the text or other sources). Include the chapter and page number where your text defines the concept.
3. Explanation
This portion of the paper is the most detailed. You need to describe the behavior you observed (#1) with the concept you identified (#2). Basically, you need to dissect the behavior. Make sure you include enough information so that I can see that you clearly understand how the concept applies to your behavioral example.

The model example that is very brief shows the format that is wanted. Also, i would like to say that i would like the paper to be on temptation as that sounds most familiar to me.

I don’t know how to put this one in?  If you need me to change the order please let me know.

Individual Case Study (Due Week 7)
This case study looks at the behavior of a circuit board process through the use of control charts. At least two control charts will need to be constructed, and from them, you will be asked to provide an assessment of what you see. A template to facilitate the construction of the control charts has been provided in Files:  GSCM326_Case_Study_Template.xlsx.  You are not required to use this template; however, it will greatly facilitate the solution.

Problem Statement
Fujiyama Electronics Inc. has had difficulties with circuit boards purchased from an outside supplier. Unacceptable variability occurs between two drilled holes that are supposed to be 5 cm apart on the circuit boards. Thirty samples of four boards each were taken from shipments from the supplier. The data obtained can be found on a worksheet in Files: Fujiyama_Electronics_Sample_Data.xlsx.

A tutorial is available to help complete the Week 7 Team Case Study assignment, titled WK7_Case_Study_Tutorial.

Guidelines
The student will submit the completed case study in a Word document Due Week 7.

The students will complete and answer the following questions.

Calculate X-bar-bar, R-bar, and associated control limits using the data in the table above.
Create x and R (average and range) control charts from the data in the table above.
Discuss notable out-of-control conditions displayed in the completed x and R (average and range) control charts. Only consider points outside the control limits. Do not consider runs, set of points within certain zones, and so forth.
If the conditions you note could be defined as assignable conditions, and they are removed from the process, then what will happen to the X-bar and R control chart?
Remove the data related to the out-of-control points you observed from the original data, and recalculate new X-bar-bar, R-bar, and associated control limits.
Create new X-bar and R (average and range) control charts from your updated data.
Discuss how the two sets of control charts are different. What has changed?
The format of the case study should conform APA guidelines for the title page and text. Citations and references are required to adhere to APA guidelines. A basic APA Paper template can be found in Files.

The completed case study paper will include all graphics and charts as part of the Word document.

Best Practices
The following are the best practices in preparing this paper.

Cover page: Include the person you prepared the paper for, who prepared it, and the date.
Body of your work:
Include titles to identify different areas that you address.
State the main ideas, major points in each idea, and supporting information.
Break down each main idea you will use in the body of your paper.
Show some types of division, like separate sections that are labeled, separate groups of paragraphs, or headers.
Include all graphs, charts and images to support ideas
Include the information you found during your research and investigation.
Summary and conclusion:
Summarizing is similar to paraphrasing, but it presents the gist of the material in fewer words than the original.
An effective summary identifies the main ideas and major support points from the body of your report.
References: APA-formatted references are required for this assignment.

No outside sources other then the book. I will upload two files, one of them is chapter 16 and the other one includes a small organizer to answer as the chapter is being read and essay rubrics. Please answer the mini assignment as you read the chapter  because that’s what the instructor wants so we follow the same structure when the essay is written.

Introduction (with a thesis), two or three Body Paragraphs (each of which compares or contrasts an element from the book to its counterpart in the film), and a Conclusion. If you use any books or websites other than the short story as research, you should include a citation and reference at the end of your paper.

Discuss how up to three of the following elements are presented in the book, and compare them to how they are updated for a modern audience in the BBC adaptation starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Make sure to discuss the book and film equally, and to analyze how these changes affect the story, or our understanding of it.

1. Dr. Watsons background
2. The clues at the murder scene
3. The killers profession
4. The final showdown between Sherlock and the killer
5. The reasons for the murder

Your personal essay will take the form of a health memoir, a narrative-descriptive micro-biography that spotlights your attitude towards one aspect of your (or anothers) health or well-being. You have the liberty to select from a vast array of health concerns, from the physical to the mental to the psychological, but you must be able to define and characterize whichever disease/illness/disability/affliction/syndrome you choose in a manner accepted and understood by the health sciences.
